Club León
Club León Fútbol Club, also known as León, is a Mexican professional football club based in León, Guanajuato, that competes in the Liga MX, the top flight of Mexican football. León has won the Primera División de México/Liga MX title eight times in 1948, 1949, 1952, 1956, 1992, the Apertura in 2013, the Clausura in 2014, and the Apertura in 2020. After winning the League and the México Cup in 1949, it became the first Mexican campeonísimo. León was the CONCACAF Champions' Cup runner-up in 1993. CD Oro
Club Deportivo Oro is a football club that plays in the second division. It is based in the city of Guadalajara. The club was one of five clubs from the state of Jalisco to play in the Mexican first division. It only won one league title, back in 1962, and was runner-up five times in 1947, 1953, 1955, 1960 and 1964. After four years of absence the club was reformed and plays now in the second division. History Origins The club's history dates back to 1923, when a group of jewelers got together and founded the club to promote their company. The club joined the old Liga Occidental De Jalisco. Club Deportivo Marte was a Mexican football club. History The club began in Mexico City, but in the 1950s they moved to Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. The early club mainly consisted of Mexican soldiers, hence the name, in homage of the Roman god of war. Amateur era The first tournament played by the club was during the 1928–29 season. Moctezuma de Orizaba was a Mexican football team that played in the '' Liga Mexicana de Football Amateur Association'' prior to the professionalization and development of the Mexican first division. The club was based in the city of Orizaba and folded in 1950. History The club was founded in 1932 by workers from the Moctezuma brewery in Orizaba Veracruz. The team was created to play sports in their spare time and once the owner of the brewery saw the men he decided to sponsor the club and so the club took on the brewery name Club Moctezuma de Orizaba and joined the amateur league in Veracruz. Moctezuma club is remembered for being the first club from Veracruz to play in the amateur league in Mexico City, when they joined the league in 1940. Parque Deportivo Veracruzano was a multi-use stadium in Veracruz, Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. It was initially used as the stadium of Rojos del Águila de Veracruz and Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz matches. Parque El Mirador was a football stadium in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico (110 kilometres east of Mexico City). The stadium seated 15,000 and was the home of Puebla F.C., one of the oldest and most important football teams in Mexico. “El Mirador” was constructed under the ownership of Roberto Cortazar in 1944 and was inaugurated in a friendly match against Atlante. In 1957, Puebla folded due to economic problems, asking to withdraw from the league for what turned out to be eight years.
