1941 Soviet Top League
The 1941 Soviet Top League was cancelled due to World War II. The last matches were played on June 24. League standings as of June 24, 1941 * CDKA were renamed to ''Red Army'' (now CSKA) * Out of Moscovite ''Lokomotiv'', ''Torpedo'', ''Metallurg'', and ''Krylya Sovetov'' were formed teams Profsoyuzy-1 and Profsoyuzy-2. * Out of Leningradis ''Avangard'', ''Zenit'', and ''Krasnaya Zaria'' were formed teams Profsoyuz of Leningrad which was renamed again into Zenit. * As the Group B liquidated for the 1941 season FC Dinamo Minsk, FC Spartak Odessa, and FC Spartak Kharkiv were promoted along with SC Spartak Leningrad. Presumably FC Spartak Kharkiv was also a merger of ''Dynamo'', and ''Silmash'' forming the reformed united city team Spartak, but evidence of that is yet to be found. Soviet Top League
The Soviet Top League, known after 1970 as the Higher League (russian: Чемпионат СССР по футболу: Высшая лига), served as the top division of Soviet Union football from 1936 until 1991. The professional top level of football competition among clubs was established in 1936 on proposition of Nikolai Starostin and was approved by the All-Union Council of Physical Culture. Originally it was named Group A. After World War II it became known as the First Group. In 1950, after another reform of football in the Soviet Union, the First Group was replaced with Class A. By 1970, the Class A had expanded to three tiers with the top tier known as the Higher Group which in 1971 was renamed into the Higher League. It was one of the best football leagues in Europe, ranking second among the UEFA members in 1988–89 seasons. FC Dynamo Kharkiv
FC Dynamo Kharkiv ( uk, Динамо Харків) was the non-amateur Soviet football club based in Kharkiv (now Ukraine). History Shturm Kharkiv The club was originally found in 1911 by 20 year old Kostiantyn Voronin as FC Tsap-Tsarap Kharkov. During that time in Kharkiv took place the first regional and city championship that was won by FC Feniks Kharkov. The club Tsap-Tsarap however has officially registered only in 1912 as FC Shturm Kharkov and its first chairman became Ya.Zhuga. On 19 March 1912 there took place a constituent assembly of the Kharkov City League which was initially headed by M.Mayevsky (a player of FC Mayak Kharkov). Biography Born July 21, 1929, in the village of Pozdnyakovo (now Kaluga Oblast). After World War II, the family moved to Moscow. In Theatre Institute Pyotr Shcherbakov was quite by accident. Since that year in GITIS was set only at the Directing Department, Pyotr took directly to the second year of the institute, which he graduated in 1955. At the same time he had while studying to pass exams in the subjects of the first course. Boris Paichadze ( ka, ბორის პაიჭაძე, ; russian: Борис Соломонович Пайчадзе; 3 February 1915 – 9 October 1990) was a Georgian footballer, who played for FC Dinamo Tbilisi. The largest stadium in Georgia, the Boris Paichadze Stadium in Tbilisi, is named after him. In 2001, he was voted the best Georgian football player of the 20th century.
