Banovina Of Croatia
The Banovina of Croatia or Banate of Croatia ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, separator=" / ", Banovina Hrvatska, Бановина Хрватска) was an autonomous province ( banovina) of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia between 1939 and 1941. It was formed by a merger of Sava and Littoral Banovina, Littoral Banovinas of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, banovinas into a single autonomous entity, with small parts of the Drina Banovina, Drina, Zeta Banovina, Zeta, and Danube Banovina, Danube banovinas also included. Its capital was Zagreb and it included most of present-day Croatia along with portions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. Its sole Ban of Croatia, Ban during this period was Ivan Šubašić. Ljubo Benčić
Ljubomir "Ljubo" Benčić (2 January 1905 – 24 February 1992) was a Croatian and Yugoslav football player. Playing career Club Spending his entire career at Hajduk Split, Benčić was a renowned right winger and centre forward. He started playing top-flight football in 1921 and by 1923 he became the club's best all-time scorer with a total of 43 goals. In 1925 he played his 100th game for the Whites, and in 1930 he scored his 300th goal for Hajduk. Until his retirement in 1935 he scored an amazing 355 goals in 353 official games for Hajduk, which makes him currently Hajduk's third all-time goalscorer (behind Frane Matošić with 729 and Leo Lemešić with 445 goals). With Hajduk he won two Yugoslav championship titles, in 1927 and 1929, and was also the league's top scorer in 1928, scoring 8 goals in 5 games. Ivo Radovniković
Ivo "Ive" Radovniković (9 February 1918 – 27 October 1977) was a Croatian football player and manager. Playing career A native of Split, Radovniković joined local powerhouse Hajduk Split in 1930 at the age of 12, and debuted professionally for the club six years later in a match against SK Bata Borovo. In the next 17 years with the club he appeared in a total of 475 matches and scored 160 goals (including 117 appearances and 23 goals in the Yugoslav First League). With the club he won the Banovina of Croatia championship in 1941 and two Yugoslav First League titles in 1950 and 1952. During World War II when Hajduk was briefly disbanded by the authorities he was one of the players who joined the re-established club in exile on the island of Vis (which was at the time stronghold of the Yugoslav Partisans) and where Hajduk played exhibition matches until the end of the war. Jiri ( ne, जिरी) is a municipality in Dolakha District in the Bagmati Province of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 13,638 people.. Frane Matošić
Frane Matošić (25 November 1918 – 29 October 2007) was a Croatian football player and coach who played as a striker. He is regarded as one of Hajduk Split's greatest players and he is the club's all-time leading goalscorer. Playing career Club Born in Split, Matošić started to play football with HNK Hajduk from Split. In his very first game for ''Hajduk'' in 1935 against '' Slavija'' from Sarajevo, Matošić scored two goals. He played 16 seasons for Hajduk. His older brother Jozo Matošić was also football player with whom he was a teammate at Hajduk. While serving the obligatory military service in the season 1939, he played for the BSK from Belgrade. Ratko Kacijan
Ratko Kacian (; 18 January 1917 – 18 June 1949) was a Croatian footballer. He played internationally for the Croatian national team from 1940 to 1943 and with Yugoslavia's national team in 1946. He was also part of Yugoslavia's squad for the football tournament at the 1948 Summer Olympics, but he did not play in any matches. Club career Kacian played for HAŠK, Hajduk Split before moving to Dinamo Zagreb. International career He made his debut for the Jozo Jakopić-led Banovina of Croatia in a December 1940 friendly match against Hungary and earned a total of 10 caps scoring no goals. Gajetano "Gajo" Raffanelli (6 August 1913 – 7 August 1988) was a Croatian footballer who played as a midfielder and made one appearance for the Croatia national team. He later worked as a manager for Zmaj Makarska. Career Raffanelli earned his first and only cap for Croatia on 8 December 1940 in a friendly against Hungary. Ljubomir "Ljubo" Kokeza (15 May 1920 in Split (city), Split – 22 August 1992) was Croatian Association football, football player who played for Hajduk Split and Yugoslavia in the 1940s and 1950s. Playing career Club Ljubomir Kokeza was not only a talented player, but also a true fan of his club Hajduk Split, and always remained loyal to the club for which played for so many years. Born in Split (city), Split, Kokeza began to play football in his neighbourhood quarters and joined NK Split in 1935 where he stayed for two years. In the summer of 1937, he transferred to Hajduk Split, and played two seasons for the club's youth team. From 1939 he began to play for the seniors and remained a regular until he retired in 1957.
