1937 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1937 Norwegian Football Cup was the 36th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was played at Urædd Stadion in Porsgrunn on 17 October 1937, and was contested by the previous year's losing finalist Mjøndalen and the eleven–time former winners Odd. Mjøndalen secured their third title with a 4–2 win in the final. Fredrikstad were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Mjøndalen in the semifinal. Football Association Of Norway
The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the men's and women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien and Toppserien). The current president of NFF is Lise Klaveness. By 1 January 2004, there were 1,814 clubs organized in Norway and 373,532 registered players. It is the largest sports federation in Norway. The NFF joined FIFA in 1908, and UEFA in 1954. The NFF was part of an unsuccessful joint bid with the SvFF, the DBU and the SPL to host the UEFA Euro 2008 championship. The SvFF invited the NFF to join them in bidding for the UEFA Euro 2016 championship. Idrettslaget Braatt is a Norwegian multi-sports club located in Kristiansund, Norway. Founded in 1916, the club was started as a wrestling club by outbreakers from ''Ynglingeforeningens IL'' (YMCA). The club currently have departments in figure skating, floorball, football, ice hockey, speed skating and wrestling. History On 31 March 1916, Braatt IL was founded. It has sections for association football, team handball, floorball, volleyball, track and field, gymnastics, skiing and speed skating. It was founded on 11 November 1914. FK Gjøvik-Lyn
FK Gjøvik-Lyn is a Norwegian football club based in Gjøvik, which was founded on 1 February 1902 as Sportsklubben Thor. They play in the Norwegian Second Division, the third highest division in the Norwegian football league system. Their home ground is Gjøvik Stadion. The club's honours include winning the 1962 Norwegian Cup. The men's team played in the 3. divisjon in 2008, and in the 2. divisjon as late as in 2007. Ahead of the 2009 season, the first team joined the new team Gjøvik FF. Sportsklubben Falk is a Norwegian sports club from Horten, Vestfold. It has sections for association football and handball. It was founded in 1917 as a football club; the handball came in the 1940s. The club had an athletics section from 1920 to 1924, when it broke out and formed the club ''Horten FIK''. Drammens Ballklubb is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Øren in Drammen. Founded 14 August 1909 as a merger of clubs ''Idun'' and ''Spring'', the club was initially a football club only. It has currently sections for association football, cross-country skiing, bandy and Esports. The club had athletes in ski jumping, but that department is folded. Football History Their first game was played on 22 August 1909 in Bacheparken. Drammens BK won 6–1 against Kongsberg IF. IL Varegg
Idrettslaget Varegg is a sports club in Bergen. It has sections for football, orienteering, cross-country skiing and track and field. The club hosts 'Stoltzekleiven Opp', an annual fell running race up the mountain Sandviksfjellet. History The club was founded as 'Falk' in 1921, but applied to change its name to 'Sparta' in 1925. The new name was not accepted by Norges Idrettsforbund, and the members chose the name Pallas instead. In 1947, Pallas merged with 'Høydekameratene' and was renamed to Varegg, after the mountain Vardegga. Varegg played in the top division of Norwegian football for three seasons in the 1950s, attracting average crowds of about 6,000.
