Raymund Schwager
Raymund Schwager (1935–2004) was a Swiss Roman Catholic priest and theologian, and member of the Society of Jesus. Life Schwager was born on 11 November 1935 in Balterswil into a Swiss farming family as the second of seven children. After primary and secondary school he joined the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in 1955. Following Jesuit custom, he studied philosophy (1957–1960 in Pullach near Munich, Germany) and theology (1963–1967 in Lyon-Fourvière, France), separated by educational work as a prefect in a Jesuit boarding school (1960–1963, "Stella Matutina" in Feldkrich, Austria). Schwager was ordained a priest on 31 July 1966 and completed his formal education with a doctorate in theology (1967–1969 in Fribourg, Switzerland). During those years he also spent some time in Spain, the home country of the Jesuits' Basque founder, Ignatius of Loyola, on whom he wrote his thesis. Dimitri (clown)
Dimitri Jakob Muller (18 September 1935 – 19 July 2016), known as Dimitri was a Swiss clown and mime artist. He later changed his name to Jakob Dimitri. Career Dimitri was born in Ascona, Switzerland in 1935. When he was seven years old he decided he wanted to become a clown. After graduating from school, Dimitri became an apprentice potter while studying music and theater. He went to Paris to study under Etienne Decroux, then Marcel Marceau. In 1959, he was hired as an Auguste by Louise Maisse, a whiteface clown. He then created his own solo mime act which was received with much acclaim during the 1962 International Mime Festival in Berlin. In 1971, Dimitri founded with his wife Gunda a theater. In 1975, he founded the ''Scuola Teatro Dimitri'' in Verscio, now Terre di Pedemonte. It is a small performing arts college in the Swiss national higher education system. Bruno Spoerri
Bruno Alexander Spoerri (born 16 August 1935) is a Swiss jazz and electronics musician. Born in Zurich, he studied applied psychology in Basel and Zurich. He played the saxophone as a student, and toured with the Modern Jazz Group Freiburg in Germany and Switzerland. In the early 1960s, he worked as a psychologist and career counsellor. Peter Bichsel
Peter Bichsel (born 24 March 1935) is a popular Swiss writer and journalist representing modern German literature. He was a member of the Gruppe Olten. Bichsel was born 1935 in Lucerne, Switzerland, the son of manual labourers. Shortly after he was born, the Bichsels moved to Olten, also in Switzerland. After finishing school, he became an elementary school teacher, a job which he held until 1968. From 1974 to 1981 he was the personal advisor and speech writer of Willy Ritschard, a member of the Swiss Federal Council. Between 1972 and 1989 he made his mark as a "writer in residence" and a guest lecturer at American universities. Bichsel has lived on the outskirts of Solothurn for several decades. He started publishing short lyric works in newspapers. In 1960, he got his first success in prose as a private printer.
