1934 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1934 Norwegian Football Cup was the 33rd season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was played at Sorgenfri gressbane in Trondheim on 14 October 1934, and was contested by the defending champions Mjøndalen and the two-time former winners Sarpsborg. Mjøndalen successfully defended their title with a 2–1 victory after extra time, securing their second Norwegian Cup trophy. Football Association Of Norway
The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the men's and women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien and Toppserien). The current president of NFF is Lise Klaveness. By 1 January 2004, there were 1,814 clubs organized in Norway and 373,532 registered players. It is the largest sports federation in Norway. The NFF joined FIFA in 1908, and UEFA in 1954. The NFF was part of an unsuccessful joint bid with the SvFF, the DBU and the SPL to host the UEFA Euro 2008 championship. The SvFF invited the NFF to join them in bidding for the UEFA Euro 2016 championship. The NFF and Norwegian politicians expressed support for such a proposal, but Euro 2016 was eventually awarded to France. Drammens BK
Drammens Ballklubb is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Øren in Drammen. Founded 14 August 1909 as a merger of clubs ''Idun'' and ''Spring'', the club was initially a football club only. It has currently sections for association football, cross-country skiing, bandy and Esports. The club had athletes in ski jumping, but that department is folded. Football History Their first game was played on 22 August 1909 in Bacheparken. Drammens BK won 6–1 against Kongsberg IF. The club reached the final of the 1930 Norwegian Cup through their 2–0 win against Stavanger IF in the semi-final. On 19 October 1930, Drammens BK lost the final 2–4 against Ørn. This is still the only occasion Drammens BK played in the Cup final, the nearest they have been since is quarter-finals against Skeid in both 1949 and 1958. Egersunds Idrettsklubb, commonly known as Egersund or EIK, is a Norwegian sports club from Egersund in Rogaland. The club has sections for football, handball and athletics, and is most known for its football team, which plays in the 2. divisjon, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system. History The inhabitants of Egersund first started playing football late in the 19th century, after influence from the English pottery-workers in the city. In the beginning the football was not organized, but during the spring of 1909 ''Egersund Fodboldsklubb'' was founded. FK Donn
Fotballklubben Donn is a Norwegian football club from the neighbourhood Lund in Kristiansand, most notable for its women's football team. It was founded on 24 June 1909 and named after a dog. Donn Toppfotball The women's football team Donn Toppfotball played in Toppserien, the highest tier of women's football in Norway, for two periods. The first spell was between 1993 and 1995, and the club also reached the final of the Norwegian Women's Cup in 1994 where they were beaten by Trondheims-Ørn. Charmaine Hooper, the most capped Canadian player, played for Donn during this heyday for the club. The women's team also played in Toppserien in 2010. The women's team won promotion in the 2009 season, and they reconstituted themselves as a professional outfit called Donn Toppfotball. Sportsklubben Djerv is a sports club from Møhlenpris, Bergen in Norway. The club was founded on 18 May 1913, and today it has sections for football, floorball, badminton, basketball and gymnastics. The club had an ice hockey department until 1985. History The club was founded on 18 May 1913 by boys from the Møhlenpris neighbourhood in Bergen. Hamarkameratene is a professional association football team from Hamar, Norway. It was established in 1946 as a merger between Briskebyen Fotballag (established in 1918 as Freidig) and Hamar Arbeideridrettslag. In 1970, the team qualified for the First Division, and has since been in the top three flights of Norwegian football. They play their home games at Briskeby Arena, built by the club between 1934 and 1936. Early years Briskebyen Fotballag Freidig was established on 10 August 1918 as a local team for Briskebyen in what was then the municipality of Vang. The prerequisite for joining the team was being able to pay for the football. At the time there was a severe lack of pitches in Hamar, and the club would to begin with often sneak into unused venues and play until they were chased by the groundskeeper. Sportsklubben Brann (commonly known as Brann, and less often as SK Brann) is a Norwegian professional football club, founded 26 September 1908, from Bergen. Brann had been in the Eliteserien, Norway's Premier Division of Football, since 1987, bar one season spent in the 1. divisjon in 2015, but they were relegated again in 2021. They play their home matches at Brann Stadion where they had a record-breaking 17,310 in average attendance in the 2007 season. Sportsklubben Brage is a defunct Norwegian multi-sports club from Trondheim. History It was founded on 24 March 1907. its sports included football, athletics, boxing and Nordic skiing. It was disbanded in 2009. Athletics Arne Halse won an Olympic silver and bronze in 1908, and also competed in 1906 and 1912.
