Charles Hillyer Brand
Charles Hillyer Brand (April 20, 1861 – May 17, 1933) was an American politician, businessman, jurist and lawyer. Biography Brand was born in Loganville, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens in 1881. He was admitted to the state bar in 1882. In 1894 and 1895, Brand served in the Georgia Senate and was the president ''pro tempore'' of that body. Brand was also involved in the banking industry as president and director of the Brand Banking Co. in Lawrenceville, Georgia, director of the Georgia National Bank and of the American State Bank in Athens. Brand was the solicitor general of the western district of Georgia from 1896 through 1904 and succeeded Richard B. Russell, Sr. as the judge of the state superior court in 1906. He served in that position until 1917. Henry Winfield Watson
Henry Winfield Watson (June 24, 1856 – August 27, 1933) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. Henry W. Watson was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He was educated in private schools, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1881, and commenced the practice of his profession in Philadelphia. He served as president of the Washington, Potomac & Chesapeake Railway Company. He was the director of several banks and of the Langhorne Water Company. Watson was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-fourth and to the nine succeeding Congresses and served until his death in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Isabella Dinsmore Greenway (née Selmes; born March 22, 1886 – December 18, 1953) was an American politician who was the first congresswoman in Arizona history, and as the founder of the Arizona Inn of Tucson. During her life she was also noted as a one-time owner and operator of Los Angeles-based Gilpin Airlines, a speaker at the 1932 Democratic National Convention, and a bridesmaid at the wedding of Eleanor and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Early life Isabella Dinsmore Selmes was born the daughter of Tilden Russell Selmes (1835–1895) and Martha "Patty" Macomb Flandrau (1861–1923). The 1926 United States House of Representatives elections was an election for the United States House of Representatives in 1926 which occurred in the middle of President Calvin Coolidge's second term. Coolidge's Republican Party lost seats to the opposition Democratic Party, but it retained a majority.
