1928 Argentine Primera División
The 1928 Argentine Primera División was the 37th season of top-flight football in Argentina. The season began on April 15, 1928, and ended on June 30, 1929. The league expanded to include 36 teams, which played in a single league with each team playing the other only once. Huracán won its 4th. title in Primera. The Primera División (; en, "First Division"), known officialy as Liga Profesional de Fútbol, or Torneo Binance for sponsorship reasons, is a professional football league in Argentina, organised by the Argentine Football Association (AFA). The Primera División is the country's premier football division and is the top division of the Argentine football league system. It operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Primera Nacional (Second Division), with the teams placed lowest at the end of the season being relegated. Club San Fernando is an Argentine multi-sports club based in San Fernando, Buenos Aires. One of the largest clubs of the North side of Greater Buenos Aires, the club hosts a wide range of sports and activities, such as basketball, basque pelota, bowls, canoe racing, chess, field hockey, football, gymnastics, judo, rowing rugby union, swimming, tennis, volleyball and yachting.
