1921 Liga Peruana De Football
The 1921 Liga Peruana de Football was the tenth and last season to be organized by the Peruvian Football League. It encompassed a first division and a second division. A total of 11 teams competed in the first division and its champion was Sport Progreso. It was the last tournament run by the leadership of the Liga Peruana de Football, due to its lack of authority over the associated clubs. The formation of a new entity that controls sports activities, called the Asociación de Amateur, made up of dissident institutions from the Liga Peruana, produced a schism with an anarchic nature of disorder and confusion in the football organization. Peruvian Primera División
The Peru First Division (; ''First Division'') —known as Liga 1 Betsson for sponsorship reasons and officially as Liga 1 — is the top flight of association football in Peru. It has been referred to as Torneo Descentralizado since 1966, when the first teams residing outside the Lima and Callao provinces were invited to compete in the inaugural league national competition. The main sponsor is the Spanish telecommunications brand Movistar. There are 20 teams in the division of a league that operates on a system of promotion and relegation determined at the end of the season with the Segunda División and the Copa Perú. Cercado De Lima
The Cercado de Lima (''Walled Lima''), Damero de Pizarro (''Pizarro's Checkerboard''), or Lima Cuadrada (''Squared Lima'') is an area of the Historic Centre of Lima, historic center of Lima (capital of Peru) located within the Walls of Lima, old walls of the city. Jorge Chávez (Callao)
Jorge Antonio Chávez Dartnell (January 13, 1887 – September 27, 1910), also known as Géo Chávez, was a Peruvian aviator. At a young age, he achieved fame for his aeronautical feats. He died in 1910 after a heavy wind broke the wings of his fragile airplane Bleriot XI, falling from a twenty meter height upon landing, after achieving the first air crossing of the Pennine Alps. Early life Jorge Chávez Dartnell was born in Paris, France to Peruvian parents Manuel Chávez Moreyra and María Rosa Dartnell y Guisse. He studied at the Violet School from where he graduated with an engineer's degree in 1908. Career Chávez attended the school of aviation established by Henry and Maurice Farman where he got his pilot license and undertook his first flight in Reims on February 28, 1910. Barranco District
Barranco is one of 43 districts in Lima, Peru. Its current mayor is José Juan Rodríguez Cárdenas. Rímac District
Rímac is a district in the Lima Province, Peru. It lies directly to the north of downtown Lima, to which it is connected by six bridges over the Rímac River. The district also borders the Independencia, San Martín de Porres, and San Juan de Lurigancho districts. Club Alianza Lima, popularly known as Alianza Lima or simply Alianza, is a Peruvian professional sports club based in La Victoria District of Lima, Peru.
