1917–18 Coupe De France
The 1917–18 Coupe de France (officially Coupe Charles–Simon 1917–18) was the first season of the most prestigious cup competition in France. The competition was open to all clubs who were affiliated with an organisation that was a member of the Comité français interfédéral (CFI). The cup was named after Charles Simon, the Secretary-General of the CFI at the outbreak of World War I, who died in battle in 1915. Olympique de Paris was a French association football team based in Paris which existed from 1908 to 1926. Union Sportive Suisse de Paris, also known as simply US Suisse or Suisse Paris, is a French amateur football club based in Paris. The club was founded in 1894 under the name United Sports Club and currently play in the Promotion d'Honneur of the Ligue Île-de-France, the ninth division of the French football league system. Gallia Club, also known as Gallia Club Paris to identify the club's location, was a French amateur football club based in Paris. The club was founded in 1896 and were known as ''Les coqs'' (The Roosters). Gallia Club was among the few clubs that participated in France's first-ever football league, ''Le Championnat de USFSA'', joining the league for the 1896–97 season. The club won its only USFSA league title in the 1904–05 season defeating Roubaix 1–0 at the Parc des Princes. Midfielder Georges Bayrou was particularly instrumental in the club's success. Stade Français Football is a French association football team based in Paris and playing in suburb town of Vaucresson. The team is the football section of sports club Stade Français, whose rugby union section is currently the most successful. Cercle Athlétique de Paris Charenton is a French football club which plays in the cities of Charenton-le-Pont and Maisons-Alfort, Val-de-Marne. The team is a merge between CA Paris (founded in 1892) and SO Charentonnais (founded in 1904). The two merged in 1964. Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a Draw (tie), tie or draw where the scores are the same.
