The 1917 Copa Ibarguren was the 5th. edition of this National cup of Argentina. It was played by the champions of both leagues, Primera División and Liga Rosarina de Football crowned during 1917. Racing (Primera División champion) faced Rosario Central (Liga Rosarina champion), playing their 4th. consecutive final. Racing Club De Avellaneda
Racing Club de Avellaneda, officially known as Racing Club or shortened to just Racing, is an Argentine professional sports club based in Avellaneda, a city of the Buenos Aires Province. Alberto Marcovecchio
Alberto Andrés Marcovecchio (March 6, 1893 – February 28, 1958) was an Argentine football player that spent all his career at Racing Club de Avellaneda. His position on the field was forward, converting more than 200 goals during his career. Only in Primera División, Marcovecchio scored 118 between 1913 and 1922. Juan Enrique Hayes ( es, Juan Enrique Hayes, 20 January 1891 – 25 July 1976) was an Argentine footballer, who played his entire career for Rosario Central (where he spent 20 years). Zenón Díaz
Zenón Díaz (31 December 1880 – 5 September 1948) was an Argentine footballer who played as a defender for Rosario Central, where he won four national cups. Díaz was also an athlete, where he specialised in jumps and throws. Club career Díaz started playing as goalkeeper for Rosario Central after he was discovered by two club executives, who had watched him playing in the streets. Alberto Ohaco
Alberto Ohaco (1889-1950) was an Argentine footballer who played for Racing Club de Avellaneda. He won seven league titles and is considered to have been one of the greatest Argentine footballers of all time. Ohaco whose father was one of the founding members of Racing Club became one of the club's greatest players. He is still the most winning player in Racing Club' history having won a total of 20 titles with the club, including seven Primera División consecutive championships between 1913 and 1919. he was also four times top scorer in the Argentine league between 1912 and 1915. He scored a total of 244 goals for the club making him the highest scoring player in the history of the institution. Francisco Olazar
Francisco Olazar (10 July 1885 – 21 September 1958) was an Argentine football player and coach. He played as a central midfielder. At club level, Olazar spent his entire career playing for Racing Club, where he won eight Primera División league titles and eight National cups. He also played for and coached the Argentina national team, being the team coach at the 1930 FIFA World Cup. Career Olazar was born in Quilmes. Armando Reyes (28 October 1893 – 7 September 1954) was an Argentine association football, footballer who spent his entire career in Racing Club de Avellaneda, Racing Club, where he stayed from 1911 to 1929. Marcos Crocce
Marcos Francisco Croce (6 March 1894 – 10 July 1978) was an Argentine footballer who played as goalkeeper. Croce spent most of his career at Racing Club, but he also played in Alumni, Estudiantes BA, and Sportivo Palermo. Biography

Croce debuted in Alumni with only 16 years old, then moving to C.A. Estudiantes. In 1917 he was transferred to Racing Club, where he had a long tenure also winning 10 titles with the club between 1917 and 1925.
