The 1916 Norwegian Football Cup was the 15th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for 1916 local association leagues (kretsserier) champions. Aurskog/Finstadbru SK
Aurskog-Finstadbru Sportsklubb is a Norway, Norwegian sports club from Aurskog-Høland, Akershus. It has sections for association football, handball, cycle sport, cycling, swimming (sport), swimming, and Nordic skiing. It was founded on 29 November 1903. The club's best known members are ski jumper Lasse Ottesen and speed skater Anette Tønsberg. The men's football team plays in the Fourth Division, the fifth tier of Norwegian football. Rjukan IL
Rjukan () is a town and the administrative centre of Tinn municipality in Telemark, Norway. It is situated in Vestfjorddalen, between Møsvatn and Lake Tinn, and got its name after Rjukan Falls west of the town. The Tinn municipality council granted township status for Rjukan in 1996. The town has 3,386 inhabitants (January 2007). History Rjukan was formerly a significant industrial centre in Telemark, and the town was established between 1905 and 1916, when Norsk Hydro started saltpetre (fertilizer) production there. Rjukan was chosen because Rjukan Falls, a 104-metre waterfall, provided easy means of generating large quantities of electricity. The man with the idea to use the Rjukan falls was Sam Eyde, the founder of Hydro. It is estimated that he, together with A/S Rjukanfoss (later Norsk Hydro), used about two times the national budget of Norway to build the Rjukan power station as well as much of the surrounding town. IF Urædd is a Norwegian sports club from Porsgrunn, founded in 1880. Since 8 December 1993 it has been an alliance sports team, with independent sections for football, handball, sport wrestling, skiing, gymnastics, basketball, athletics and speed skating. Its football section Urædd FK, athletics section Urædd Friidrett and handball section Urædd Håndball are the best known nationwide. Urædd Friidrett Urædd Friidrett is the athletics department of the alliance club IF Urædd from Porsgrunn, which was founded in 1880. The athletics section within IF Urædd was established in 1917. The athletics team uses the stadium Kjølnes stadion. Its most prominent members are Lars Arvid Nilsen, Georg Andersen, Svein Inge Valvik and Olav Jenssen, who all competed in throwing events. Storms Ballklubb is a Norwegian association football club from Skien. Storm BK is the football-department of ''IF Storm'' and was founded on 12 July 1902. Idrettsforeningen Fram, better known as Fram Larvik to distinguish it from other sport clubs, is a sports club from Torstrand in Larvik, Norway. It has sections for association football, athletics, handball and speed skating. General history The club was founded on 15 January 1894. That makes Fram Norway's oldest existing association football club. It is often known as ''Fram Larvik'', mainly to distinguish it from IL Fram from Skatval. Football The men's football team currently plays in the Norwegian Second Division, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club reached the final of the 1912 Norwegian Cup. Fram won the final 2–1, but the opponent Mercantile claimed that Fram had used an illegit player. The Norwegian FA ruled a replay the next weekend. Ski- og Ballklubben Skiold ("Shield") is a Norwegian sports club based in Strømsø, Drammen. The club is at present mostly active in association football, but has earlier had success in bandy and has also had a department for ice hockey. The club was founded on 7 June 1910 and was originally called ''Bragerøen Idrettsforening''. The club colour is red. Skiold became national champion in bandy in 1939 and 1957. Drammens Ballklubb is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Øren in Drammen. Founded 14 August 1909 as a merger of clubs ''Idun'' and ''Spring'', the club was initially a football club only. It has currently sections for association football, cross-country skiing, bandy and Esports. The club had athletes in ski jumping, but that department is folded. Football History Their first game was played on 22 August 1909 in Bacheparken. Drammens BK won 6–1 against Kongsberg IF. The club reached the final of the 1930 Norwegian Cup through their 2–0 win against Stavanger IF in the semi-final. On 19 October 1930, Drammens BK lost the final 2–4 against Ørn. This is still the only occasion Drammens BK played in the Cup final, the nearest they have been since is quarter-finals against Skeid in both 1949 and 1958.
