The 1910 Yale Bulldogs football team represented Yale University in the 1910 college football season. The Bulldogs finished with a 6–2–2 record under first-year head coach Ted Coy. Yale end John Kilpatrick was a consensus pick for the 1910 College Football All-America Team, and four other Yale players (quarterback Art Howe, halfback Fred J. Daly, tackle James W. "Jim" Scully, and a guard with the surname Morris) received first-team All-America honors from at least one selector in 1910. Ted Coy
Edward Harris Coy (May 23, 1888 – September 8, 1935) was an American football player and coach. Coy was selected as a first-team All-American three straight years from 1907 to 1909 and was later selected as the fullback on Walter Camp's All-Time All-America team. He also served as Yale's head football coach in 1910. In 1951, Coy was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as part of its inaugural class. Early years Coy was the son of the first headmaster at The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut, and began his education at Hotchkiss. Yale University He then enrolled at Yale University in 1906. While attending Yale, Coy was also secretly a member of The Yale Whiffenpoofs, the oldest collegiate a cappella group in the United States. The Plain (West Point)
The Plain is the parade field at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. The flat terrain of the Plain is in contrast to the varied and hilly terrain of the remainder of the campus. The Plain rises approximately above the Hudson River and has been the site of the longest continually occupied U.S. Army garrison in America since 1778. In its early years, the entire academy was located on the Plain and it was used for varying activities ranging from drill and mounted cavalry maneuvers to an encampment site for summer training to a sports venue. The 1910 Vanderbilt Commodores football team represented Vanderbilt University in the sport of American football during 1910 college football season. In Dan McGugin's 7th year as head coach, the Commodores as members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) compiled an 8–0–1 record (5–0 SIAA) and outscored their opponents 165 to 8, winning a conference championship. The only blemish on Vanderbilt's record was a scoreless tie with defending national champion Yale, the first time Yale had been held scoreless at home, and the South's first great showing against an Eastern power.
