	1906–07 French Rugby Union Championship The 1906–06 French Rugby Union Championship was won by SBUC who beat Stade Français in the final. For the 4th time the final was between these teams and the fourth success of SBUC. Quarts of final They was arranged by region. In the Seine region, Stade français beat Le Havre AC (13-0), in the Loire regions the US du Mans won with US Cognac (10-6). In the Rhône region FC Lyon won for forfeit of the other teams and S.B.U.C. was the Garonne region champion winning with S.O.E.T. Toulouse (18-0). 	Maurice Bruneau (rugby Player) J.-Maurice Bruneau was a local politician in Shawinigan, Quebec. He was the 16th Mayor of Shawinigan from 1966 to 1970. He was born in 1908 in Saint-Maurice, Mauricie and once owned a butcher shop on 5e rue (Fifth Street). He was a member of the Richelieu Club and the Chamber of Commerce. Bruneau served as a council member from 1957 to 1966. He ran for mayor in Shawinigan in 1966 against incumbent Gérard Dufresne and won. Under his administration, the Centre des Arts (2100, boulevard des Hêtres) was completed. Bruneau ran for re-election in 1970, but was defeated by council member Dominique Grenier. He died in 2004. Career Henri Lacassagne's first test was on 1 January 1906, against . France played its first official match in the old Parc des Princes, against New Zealand. In their tour of the British Isles, the "All Blacks" accepted a challenge for a match in Paris. After playing their second match in Swansea on 30 December, they took the ferry to Boulogne-sur-Mer, then the train to the Gare du Nord (Paris), Gare du Nord.
