1903–04 In Belgian Football
The 1903–04 season was the ninth competitive season in Belgian football. Overview Only one official division existed at the time, split into two leagues. It was called ''Coupe de Championnat'' (Championship Cup) and its winner was decided after a final round between the first two clubs of each league. The league A was not completed. It was also the first competitive season of the now famous Daring Club de Bruxelles. At the end of the season, one of the new clubs (namely Olympia Club de Bruxelles) withdrew from the league. It was decided that there will be only one league the next season. Daring Club De Bruxelles
Royal Daring Club Molenbeek was a football team from the city of Brussels, Belgium until 1973. It was created in 1895 as Daring Club de Bruxelles and was the second club to register to the Belgian Football Association (it thus received the ''matricule'' n°2), but it was admitted to the league only in 1903. History Daring Brussels were formed in 1895 and after absorbing other local clubs in 1920 they became Royal Daring Club Molenbeek. It had to wait until 1936 to come back at the top and win its fourth championship, and the fifth came a year later. In 1938, it finished 2nd. The next season saw a poor performance by Daring to finish 13th (forelast). The club was relegated just before the competition was stopped because of World War II. The team changed its name to Royal Daring Club de Bruxelles in 1950. Stade Du Vivier D'Oie
The Stade du Vivier d'Oie (Dutch: ''De Ganzenvijver'', English translation: ''Goose Pond Stadium'') is a stadium in the Belgian community of Uccle in the Brussels Capital Region. The stadium lies in the quarter Vivier d'Oie (Dutch: Diesdelle) at the margin of the Soignies Forest. In the first half of the 20th century the football club Racing Club de Bruxelles played here. History Racing club was founded at the end of the 19th century and played first in Koekelberg and then at the velodrome of Longchamps at Longchamps in Uccle. In 1901 the club was successful and it was decided to move to Vivier d'Oie. On a location on the outskirts of the Soignies Forest a stadium with side building and a club house were built. Racing Club De Bruxelles
Koninklijke Football Club Rhodienne-De Hoek is a Belgian association football club based in Sint-Genesius-Rode, Flemish Brabant. The club was created in 1894 as Racing Football Club. It became a member of the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1895 as Racing Club de Bruxelles and later received the matricule n°6. It took part in the first Belgian league the same year and won 6 titles and 1 cup until the First World War. Then, the club declined, and in 1963, it merged with White Star Woluwé A.C. to avoid bankruptcy. The new club was then called Royal Racing White. It was decided that this club would keep the matricule N°47 of White Star Woluwé. Pierre-Joseph Destrebecq (18 June 1881 – 7 December 1945) was a Belgian international football player. He played as striker in Union Saint-Gilloise, Racing Club de Bruxelles and Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht. With the national side, he also played the first official match of the Belgium national team against France on 1 May 1904. The encounter resulted in a 3–3 draw and Destrebecq scored once in this match. He scored 30 goals in 81 first division games. The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. Contested by 18 clubs since the 2020–21 season and reduced to 16 teams from the 2023–24 season onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League.
