Federico Errázuriz Echaurren
Federico Errázuriz Echaurren (Santiago, November 16, 1850 – ValparaÃso, July 12, 1901) was a Chilean politician who served as the 12th President of Chile. Early life He was son of the president Federico Errázuriz Zañartu and of Eulogia Echaurren GarcÃa-Huidobro. He studied at ''San Ignacio School'' of Santiago de Chile and in the ''National Institute of Santiago'' , where he received a bachelor's degree. He was joined the University of Chile where he became a lawyer on March 23, 1873. In 1875 he married Gertrudis Echeñique Mujica, a direct descendant of the governor of Chile MartÃn de Mujica, of whom she was the last heir of the El Huique; They had six children: Juan José, Elena, Federico, Eulogia, Jorge and MarÃa Jesús. Errázuriz Echaurren joined the Liberal party and started his political life in 1876, when he was elected as a deputy for Constitución. AnÃbal Zañartu
AnÃbal Zañartu Zañartu (; 12 April 1847 – 1 February 1902) was a Chilean political figure. He served several times as minister and, for a brief time, as vice president in 1901. He was a member of the Liberal Party. Early life He was born in Concepción, the son of Miguel José de Zañartu Santa MarÃa and of Juana de Mata Zañartu. After completing his studies in his native city, he graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad de Chile on July 19, 1870. Zañartu married Amelia Iñiguez Vicuña and they had six children. He owned a carbon mine in the Dichato beach, near Tomé. AnÃbal Zañartu was of Basque descent. Career He started his political career as plenipotentiary ambassador to Ecuador, in 1880, during the War of the Pacific. In 1882 he was elected as a deputy for San Fernando. Germán Riesco
Germán Riesco Errázuriz (; May 28, 1854 – December 8, 1916) was a Chilean political figure, and he served as President of Chile between 1901 and 1906. Early life He was born in Rancagua, the son of Mauricio Riesco, a Spanish merchant and of Carlota Errázuriz Zañartu, sister of President Federico Errázuriz Zañartu, of Basque descent. He studied at the Seminario Conciliar and at the University of Chile. At the age of 17 (four years before graduating as a lawyer) he obtained his first public job as a clerk at the ministry of Justice, in order to help support his family financially. He graduated as a lawyer on April 19, 1875, and was promoted to chief clerk at the ministry in 1880. The same year he married his cousin, MarÃa Errázuriz Echaurren, thus becoming brother-in-law to future president Federico Errázuriz Echaurren. Juan Esteban RodrÃguez Segura (24 April 1818 – 17 September 1901) was a lawyer, deputy, governor, and Chilean senator, who is allegedly (unconfirmed) the only son of the patriot Manuel RodrÃguez ErdoÃza and grandfather of the ex-president of Chile Juan Esteban Montero RodrÃguez. RodrÃguez studied at the University of Chile and was admitted to the bar in 1853.
