1900 in Argentine football saw English High School members joining again to the team to request their affiliation. Quilmes Rovers also returned under its new name "Quilmes Atlético Club". Both teams replaced Lobos and Lanús Athletic. English High School won its first Argentine championship. The international Tie Cup (where teams from Buenos Aires, Rosario and Montevideo took part) was played for the first time, being won by Belgrano AC. Plaza Jewell is the name given to Club Atlético del Rosario headquarters and sports ground. It is located in the city of Rosario in Argentina, close to Mariano Moreno bus station and Rosario Norte railway station. Having been opened in 1889, Plaza Jewell is the oldest sports ground in Argentina. Belgrano Athletic Club
Belgrano Athletic Club is an Argentine amateur sports club from Belgrano, Buenos Aires. One of Argentina's oldest institutions still in existence, Belgrano was one of the four clubs that founded the Argentine Rugby Union in 1899. The senior team currently competes at Top 12, the first division of the Unión de Rugby de Buenos Aires league system. Belgrano Athletic was one of the most prominent teams during the first years of football in Argentina, having won three domestic league titles, one national cup and two international cups.
