18th Ale Kino! Festival
The 18th annual Ale Kino! International Young Audience Film Festival was held from 15 to 20 May 2000. A number of 54 movies took part. The movies were presented in four cinemas in Poznań: ''Apollo'', ''Olimpia'', ''Rialto'' and ''Muza''. The movies were judged by professional and children jury, as well as by International Centre of Films for Children and Young People (CIFEJ). Poznań () is a city on the River Warta in west-central Poland, within the Greater Poland region. ''Malli'' is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language feature film directed by Santosh Sivan. The film met with widespread critical acclaim upon release, and has been shown at many film festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival and the New York International Children's Film Festival. It won the Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation at the 46th National Film Awards. Synopsis The film revolves around the story of ''Malli'' (P. Shwetha), a poor girl who spends most of her time helping her family by collecting firewood, and playing games in a nearby forest with her deaf and dumb best friend. Amongst her many dreams, her one main wish is to get herself a colourful dress to wear to a lively festival. Martin Velíšek
Martin Velíšek (born 21 October 1963 in Duchcov, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech artist whose work spans the media of glass and canvas, animated film, album covers, book covers, restaurant menus, napkin packaging, TV packaging, photography, sculpture, and interiors. Academically, Velíšek's work is commonly referred as grotesque, gothic, or absurdist. Velíšek himself avows a self-conceived school of "Parealism", and indeed the peculiarity of his artistic style eludes easy definition. Life and work Martin Velíšek graduated from the School of Industrial Art in Kamenický Šenov in 1983 and then from the glass-working department of the College of Industrial Art, Prague in 1989. Jolanta Fraszyńska (born 14 December 1968 in Mysłowice) – Polish people, Polish actor, actress in film and theater. Biography Fraszyńska spent her childhood in Mysłowice, Poland. Alexandra Rapaport
Alexandra Susanna Rapaport (born 26 December 1971 in Bromma) is a Swedish film and stage actress. She studied at the Teaterhögskolan i Stockholm, from which she graduated in 1997. She then worked for Uppsala Theatre before becoming engaged by Dramaten in Stockholm, where she is part of the permanent ensemble and has participated a number of classic plays.
