Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld
Nils Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld (18 November 183212 August 1901) was a Finland-Swedish aristocrat, geologist, mineralogist and Arctic explorer. He was a member of the Fenno-Swedish Nordenskiöld family of scientists and held the title of a friherre (baron). Born in the Grand Duchy of Finland at the time it was a part of the Russian Empire, he was later, due to his political activity, forced to move to Sweden, where he later became a member of the Parliament of Sweden and of the Swedish Academy. He led the ''Vega'' Expedition along the northern coast of Eurasia in 1878–1879. This was the first complete crossing of the Northeast Passage. Initially a troubled enterprise, the successful expedition is considered to be among the highest achievements in the history of Swedish science. Hedvig Ulrika De La Gardie
Hedvig Ulrika De la Gardie (29 November 1761 in Stockholm, Sweden – 7 February 1832 in Stockholm), was a Swedish lady-in-waiting. She was married to Gustaf Mauritz Armfelt. She was the head governess of the Swedish royal children in 1799–1803. Biography Early life Hedvig Ulrika De la Gardie was the daughter of count Carl Julius De la Gardie and countess Magdalena Christina Stenbock. Her mother was Mistress of the Robes to Princess Sophie Albertine of Sweden, and she herself was a maid of honor to the Queen, Sophia Magdalena of Denmark. She was a participator in the amateur theatre society of King Gustav III at the royal court. She was married on 7 August 1785 at Drottningholm Palace to the King's favorite Gustaf Mauritz Armfelt. Charlotta Cederström
Christina Charlotta Cederström née ''Mörner af Morlanda'' (2 March 1760 – 22 February 1832) was a Swedish dilettante artist, composer, salon hostess, and baroness. Cederström was an honorary member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts, as well as an honorary member of the French Académie des Beaux-Arts Life Cederström was born on 2 March 1760 at Alvesta in Småland, Sweden. Her parents were Count Gustaf Mörner af Morlanda and Sofia Elisabet Steuch. In 1780, Cederström married Baron Axel Ture Gyllenkrok, Cederström was the mother of Axel Gustaf Gyllenkrok (1783-1865). The couple lived at Björnstorp Castle in Lund. During this period, Cederström wrote poems and a novel in the style of Rousseau. She drew in ink and Indian ink and painted in oil. She wrote songs and composed music to them, the best known being ''Välkommen, o måne, min åldrige vän''. Cederström divorced Gyllenkrok in 1799. Amanda Rylander
Amanda Fredrika Rylander (14 October 1832, Jäder, Södermanland – 15 October 1920, Kvillinge, Östergötland) was a Swedish stage actress. She was a noted actress in Sweden in the late 19th-century. She was born to the inspector Johan Rylander and the sister of the actresses Ottilia Littmarck and Clara Björlin. She was active at the Anders Selinder theater company in 1857–59, the Pierre Deland theater in 1859–62, before she was employed at the Swedish Theatre in Helsinki in Finland in 1863. She was finally to be one of the most well known actors in Gothenburg, where she was active in 1870–90. Rylander was popular within comedies. Thorborg Rappe
Thorborg Ragnhild Rappe (4 October 1832 – 18 September 1902), was a Swedish pedagogue and Baroness. Alongside Emanuella Carlbeck, she is counted as a pioneer in the education of students with intellectual disability in Sweden, and she represented her country at the 1893 Congress of Women in Chicago.Nordisk familjebok.
