Hotel Wentworth (Pasadena)
The Langham Huntington, Pasadena is a resort hotel located in Pasadena, California, that dates back to the Gilded Age. Original building (1907-1989) The original hotel on the site was built by General Marshall C. Wentworth, a US Civil War veteran, and designed by Charles Frederick Whittlesey in the Spanish Mission Revival-style. It opened in February 1907 as the Hotel Wentworth, but the structure was only partially complete, with the first four stories finished and a temporary roof. The hotel's completion had been delayed due to a shortage of construction crews caused by rebuilding in San Francisco following the 1906 earthquake. The Pacific Electric had already constructed their Wentworth Line interurban railroad to serve the hotel in 1906. ''The Whole Story'' is the first compilation album by English singer Kate Bush, released on 10 November 1986. It earned Bush her third UK number-one album and went on to become her best-selling release to date, being certified four-times platinum in the United Kingdom. The album includes eleven of Bush's previous singles, with a previously unreleased track entitled "Experiment IV", which had been released as a single and reached the UK top 30. A newly recorded version of Bush's debut single "Wuthering Heights" (1978) opens the album. The album mix of "The Man with the Child in His Eyes" features on this album instead of the single version. A home video compilation of the same name was released simultaneously, which includes the promotional videos for each song on the album. ''Me and My Shadows'' is the second studio album by singer Cliff Richard and third album overall. Recorded with The Shadows and produced by Norrie Paramor, it was released through Columbia Records in October 1960 and reached No. 2 in the UK album chart. The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios. No singles were to be officially released in the UK from the album. A pairing of album tracks "Gee Whizz It's You" and "I Cannot Find a True Love" was pressed as an export single intended for continental Europe but high demand in the UK meant it charted in March 1961 and eventually reached #4 in the UK singles chart.
