17th Filmfare Awards South
The 17th Filmfare Awards South Ceremony honoring the winners of the best of South Indian cinema in 1969 was an event held in April 19, 1970 at Shanmukhananda hall in Bombay along with Hindi Awards. The Kannada films are added in this year. The president of this year's function was the minister of state information and broadcasting I. K. Gujral. The chief guest of the evening was Satyajit Ray. ''Adimai Penn'' () is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language action adventure film directed by K. Shankar and produced by M. G. Ramachandran and R. M. Veerappan. The film stars Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa, with Ashokan, Pandari Bai, Rajasree, Manohar, Chandrababu and Cho in supporting roles. It revolves around the efforts of a deceased king's son to free the enslaved people of a kingdom from their tyrant king. Ramachandran had the desire to make ''Adimai Penn'' as early as 1963. The project entered production with him directing and starring, B. Saroja Devi and K. R. Vijaya co-starring and P. N. Sundaram as cinematographer, but was dropped after some progress. When revived with a new story, it had a largely new cast and crew while Ramachandran remained as the star. Achala Sachdev
Achala Sachdev (3 May 1920 – 30 April 2012) was an Indian actress who appeared in classic films of Hindi language film industry. She was from Peshawar and started her career as a child actor. She later became known for mother and grandmother roles in Hindi films. Her most memorable roles were as Balraj Sahni's wife in '' Waqt'' (1965) and Kajol's grandmother in ''Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'' (1995). Harini (Kannada Actress)
Harini is a former actress in the Kannada cinema. She was active during the 1950s and 1960s, retiring at the peak of her career. As of 2006 she lived in Bangalore. Early life Harini was born to Srinivasa Upadhya and Bharathi in Udupi as their fourth child. Her brother Vadiraj was also an actor and producer. She appeared as a child artist in films like '' Sri Murugan'' and ''Kannika'' for which she received one rupee for delivering the dialogues very nicely. She became a full-fledged heroine through Tamil film '' Punyavathi''. Career Harini made her debut as leading lady in ''Jaganmohini'' in the role of Mohini at the age of 15. ''Bangaru Panjaram'' () is 1969 Indian Telugu-language romantic musical film directed by B. N. Reddy, and written by Palagummi Padmaraju. The soundtrack was helmed by S.
