A clear-channel station is an AM broadcasting, AM radio station in North America that has the highest protection from Interference (communication), interference from other stations, particularly concerning night-time skywave propagation. The system exists to ensure the viability of cross-country or cross-continent radio service enforced through a series of treaties and statutory laws. WAKE (AM)
WAKE (1500 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an oldies format. WAKE had an adult standards format until 2009, when it briefly switched to CNN Headline News, before adopting a classic country format in 2010. In November 2011, the station switched back to standards, using Dial Global Local's The Lounge format. KSJX (1500 AM) is a broadcast radio station licensed to San Jose, California, United States. Owned by Multicultural Broadcasting, the station broadcasts programming in Vietnamese. Founded in 1948 with the call signs KXRX, the station had various music formats in its early decades. The station was locally owned for most of its first 50 years of operation except 1978 to 1991. KMXO
KMXO (1500 AM) is a Spanish-language radio station licensed to Merkel, Texas, and serving the Abilene area. Because KMXO shares the same frequency as " clear channel" station KSTP in St. Paul, Minnesota; it broadcasts only during the daytime hours. History David W. Ratliff, trading as the Taylor County Broadcasting Company, received a construction permit to build a new radio station in Merkel on February 26, 1962. The call letters KTCT were assigned before being changed to KWFA, under which designation the station began on June 1, 1963.
