Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on 25 May 2007, and the channel went live on 23 July 2007. Originally broadcast in English, on 15 May 2010, Dawn News converted into an Urdu news channel after successful test transmission of four hours a day. Gohar Rasheed
Gohar Rasheed ( ur, ; born 2 May 1984) is a Pakistani actor. He is best known for his work in the movie ''Seedlings'', for which he was nominated for best actor in a supporting role at the 2012 New York Film Festival and the 1st ARY Film Awards, and nominated for best actor at the 13th Lux Style Awards. ''Seedlings'' ( ur, , translit=Lamha; ), is a 2013 Lollywood social drama film directed by Summer Nicks, Meher Jaffri and Mansoor Mujahid and produced by Meher Jaffri and Summer Nicks. The film stars leading Pakistani TV actors Mohib Mirza and Aamina Sheikh. The film was released in Pakistan (Karachi) on 20 September 2013. It also had its world premiere in the United States at the New York Film Festival. Mohib Mirza
Mohib Mirza ( ur, ) (born 18 August 1979) is a Pakistani actor, director, television host and comedian. He is known for his work in film and television industry of Pakistan for which he has been nominated for various awards. Career Mirza started off as a theatre actor in 1999. He was doing Bachelors in Commerce and ran out of funds for the next semester which made him and his friends start a theatre company of their own called Dramaybazz. They wrote and directed an Urdu play ''One way ticket'', which ran in PACC for 7 days receiving an overwhelming response. Mirza managed to raise more than thrice the amount of money. Humayun Saeed Ansari (born 27 July 1971), professionally known as Humayun Saeed, is a Pakistani actor and producer. Meenu Gaur is a London-based British-Indian Film director, director and screenwriter.
