13th Asianet Film Awards
The 13th Asianet Film Awards honors the best films in 2010 and was held on 9 January 2011 at Willingdon Island in Kochi. The winners were announced on 1 January 2011. The title sponsor of the event is Ujala. Amitabh Bachchan, who was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award, was the chief. The event was telecasted on Asianet in two parts – on 29 January and 30 January. Celebrities The biggest attraction of the ceremony was the presence of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, who was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award. The laurel came to Amitabh Bachchan from million viewers of Asianet, who had selected the actor for his onscreen aura and special connect that he shares with international fans around the world. He was accompanied with the host of stars from Malayalam film industry. Asianet is an Indian Malayalam language general entertainment pay television channel owned by Disney Star (formerly ''Star India''), a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India. ''In Ghost House Inn'' is a 2010 Indian Malayalam-language comedy horror film written, directed, and co-produced by Lal,. Starring Siddique, Mukesh, Jagadish and Ashokan in the lead roles, the movie is a sequel to ''2 Harihar Nagar'' (2009) and ''In Harihar Nagar'' (1990). It was produced by P. N. Venugopal under the banner of PNV Associates. The movie was a boxoffice success. Sathyan Anthikad is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and lyricist who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. In a career spanning five decades he has directed more than 50 films, been the lyricist for 12 films and been the scriptwriter for 6 films. He is the recipient of several accolades including a National Film Award, five Kerala State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards. ''Aathmakatha'' (''English: Autobiography'') is a Malayalam film written and directed by debutant Premlal starring Sreenivasan, Shafna, Sharbani Mukherjee and Jagathy Sreekumar. Athmakadha finds its niche in a classic genre of mainstream Malayalam films that include the works of directors like Bharathan and Padmarajan. Innocent Vareed Thekkethala (born 28 February 1948) is an Indian actor and politician. He predominantly works in Malayalam cinema in addition to Hindi, English, Tamil, and Kannada films, mostly in comedic roles. Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan Pillai, better known by his stage name Dileep, is an Indian actor, producer, and businessman who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry. ''Bodyguard'' is a 2010 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy action film written and directed by Siddique. It stars Dileep and Nayanthara in the lead roles, while Mithra Kurian and Thiagarajan play supporting roles.
