Content ''Trouser Press'' writes that the album " evivesthe grind-and-caterwaul of Teenage Jesus as filtered through '' Metal Box''-era PiL, all deviant guitar and rolling rhythms". UK magazine ''Fact'' wrote that "sonically it comes over like a more droning, dissolute Stateside cousin of Siouxsie & the Banshees' '' Juju''". The Weirdos are an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California. They formed in 1975, split-up in 1981, re-grouped in 1986 and have remained semi-active ever since. Thom Wilson
Thom Wilson (died February 8, 2015) was an American punk rock record producer and engineer. Career Wilson began his musical career in the mid-1970s, engineering recordings by soft rock artists Burton Cummings and Seals & Crofts. He began working on punk rock albums in the early 1980s while producing the Adolescents' self-titled debut album (also known as ''The Blue Album''). Throughout his career, he would also produce and engineer albums for numerous artists, such as Dead Kennedys, T.S.O.L., D.O.A., Bad Religion, The Joykiller, Social Distortion, The Vandals, The Offspring, Christian Death, Automatic 7, Face to Face and The Bouncing Souls. Wilson produced The Offspring's first three albums ''The Offspring'' (1989), ''Ignition'' (1992) and their breakthrough '' Smash'' (1994). He also produced the band's 1991 7" EP ''Baghdad''. Cliff Martinez (born February 5, 1954) is an American musician and composer. Early in his career, Martinez was known as a drummer notably with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Captain Beefheart. It contains live material from a show performed on November 26, 1981, at The Venue in London. Three of the four Birthday Party tracks were included on their '' Live 1981-82'' CD. Their version of the song "Loose" and the Lydia Lunch piece have never been officially reissued on CD. Situation Two (a.k.a. Situation 2) was a British independent record label founded in 1981 by Peter Kent as an offshoot of the Beggars Banquet label. At the time, Beggars Banquet releases were often distributed by WEA; to appeal to the indie audience and to get releases into the UK Indie Chart, Situation Two, as well as its sister label 4AD (which Kent had co-founded a year earlier with Ivo Watts-Russell, but soon left), were created. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses.
