Varsity Stadium is an outdoor collegiate football stadium located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is home to the Toronto Varsity Blues, the athletic teams of the University of Toronto. Athletic events have been hosted on the site since 1898; the current stadium was built in 2007 to replace the original permanent stadium built in 1911. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Roughriders compete in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member club of the league's West Division. The Roughriders were founded in 1910 as the Regina Rugby Club. Queen's University at Kingston, commonly known as Queen's University or simply Queen's, is a public research university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Queen's holds more than of land throughout Ontario and owns Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, England. Queen's is organized into eight faculties and schools. The Church of Scotland established Queen's College in October 1841 via a royal charter from Queen Victoria. Jack Eadie
Jack Eadie (born ) was a Canadian football player and coach who was the head coach of the Regina Ruby Club from 1922 to 1923. After his time with Regina he was a multi-sport coach at Berkeley High School from 1924 to 1954, retiring at the age of 65. Sports career Eadie played college football at Springfield College in Massachusetts. Eadie's first professional team was the Regina Rugby Club. He played his first season in 1920. In 1922, he was named head coach of Regina. In his first season, Regina went undefeated with a 4–0 record, but lost in the playoffs to the Edmonton Eskimos. He was described in a 1923 article by ''The Leader-Post'' as, "undoubtedly one of Canada's best." In his second season, they went 3–1, making the Grey Cup for the first time in team history. Billy Hughes (Canadian Football)
Wilfred Perry "Billy" Hughes (1888 – August 28, 1955) was a Canadian football and ice hockey coach and player. Biography Hughes was born in Renfrew, Ontario in 1888 and played both football and ice hockey while a student at McGill University in Montreal. He also played ice hockey with the Montreal Stars, champions of the 1914–15 Montreal Hockey League and holders of the 1915 Art Ross Trophy. He was a football coach for several teams: Montreal AAA Winged Wheelers (1919-1921 and 1928-1930), Hamilton Tigers (1932), Queen's University (1922-1926), Ottawa Rough Riders (1935-1936), Montreal Bulldogs (1940-1941), Lachine RCAF Station Flyers (1942-1943) and Montreal Hornets (1945). As a coach Hughes won the Grey Cup with Queen's University three straight years in 1922, 1923 and 1924.
