10th Lux Style Awards
The 10th Lux Style Awards ceremony was held in Expo Center in Karachi, Pakistan. The show was hosted by Mahira Khan, Faizan Haque and from the members of BNN. The show had the performances by HSY and Reema Khan, Aaminah Haq, Ammar Bilal, Meera, Mahira and Ahsan Khan etc. Special tribute was paid to late Moin Akhtar. Some of the film and music categories were removed from the award. Karachi Expo Centre
Karachi Expo Center is the convention center where Pakistani products are showcased internationally. The center consists of 8 halls. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan also helps support the exhibitions at the center. IDEAS exhibition Pakistani military arms and equipment exhibitions are held under the theme 'IDEAS' (International Defence Exhibition and Seminar). This is a four-day exhibition. Saleem Sheikh
Saleem Sheikh ( ur, ) (also spelled Saleem Shaikh) is a Pakistani film and television actor. He made his on-screen debut from PTV's ''Shama'' where he portrayed the younger version of Jawed Sheikh's character. He then appeared as child artist in PTV's children plays. He is best known for portraying GC Safeer in Shoaib Mansoor's military drama '' Sunehray Din''. Sheikh made his film debut in 1992 with ''Mohabbat Ke Saudagar''. His career saw a resurgence in 2010 when he played Abdul Hameed "Midu" in ''Anokha Ladla'' and in its sequels in the following years. ''Ijazat'' () is a Pakistani television series premiered on ARY Digital on 6 May 2010. It is produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Shehzad Naseeb under banner Six Sigma Plus and directed by Misbah Khalid. Humayun Saeed and Ayesha Khan played the lead roles in the series. Plot The story revolves around a happily married couple, Hamza and Muqadas. Muqadas is a loving wife and daughter-in-law. Her husband Hamza who is a struggling actor also loves her. Hamaz's life changes when he encounters a woman, Nijaat who is eager to join the showbiz industry. She is married to a simple looking yet wealthy man. Hum TV is a 24-hour Urdu General Entertainment TV channel based in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded by Sultana Siddiqui and Duraid Qureshi. ''Dastaan'' ( ur, , lit=The tale) is a Pakistani TV series based on the novel '' Bano'', by Razia Butt. Broadcast on Hum TV in 2010, it was dramatized by Samira Fazal. Based on the partition of the Indian Subcontinent and the resulting independence of Pakistan, the story takes place takes place between 1947 and 1956. The drama depicts the story of Bano, a girl from a close knit Muslim family living in Ludhiana (located in undivided Punjab) in the pre-1947 era. The story is about the trials and tribulations Bano faces after she decides to dedicate her life to the All-India Muslim League. ''Dastaan'' is the first project of its kind taken up by the Pakistani media. Geo Television Network is a television channel based in Pakistan. It was established in May 2002 and is owned by the Jang Media Group. The channel began its test transmission on 14 August 2002, with regular transmission beginning on 1 October 2002. History Geo Network was founded in May 2002 by Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman. It started out with the launch of its flagship channel Geo News in October 2002. Hamid Mir joined the channel and became one of the first journalists to join Geo News.
