The Century Plaza Hotel
The Fairmont Century Plaza is a landmark 19-story luxury hotel in Los Angeles. Located in Century City, the hotel forms a sweeping crescent design fronting the Avenue of the Stars, adjacent to the twin Century Plaza Towers and the 2000 Avenue of the Stars complex. At the time of its opening in 1966, the Century Plaza Hotel was the highest building in Century City, with views extending all the way to the Pacific Ocean. It was also the first hotel to have color televisions in all of its rooms. The hotel closed for renovations in 2016, and reopened on September 27, 2021. ''Gods and Monsters'' is a 1998 period drama film that recounts the partly fictionalized last days of the life of film director James Whale, whose experience of war in World War I is a central theme. The film stars Ian McKellen, Brendan Fraser, Lynn Redgrave, Lolita Davidovich, and David Dukes. An international co-production between the United Kingdom and the United States, the film is written and directed by Bill Condon, based on Christopher Bram's 1995 novel ''Father of Frankenstein''. Richard Holmes (born 1 January 1963) is a British film producer. Career Holmes began his career in a comedy double-act, The Gruber Brothers, with Stefan Schwartz. He produced Schwartz's debut feature film, the award-winning ''Soft Top Hard Shoulder'' (1993), winner of a BAFTA Scotland for Best Film and Best Actor. He went on to co-write and produce ''Shooting Fish'' (1997) starring Kate Beckinsale, Stuart Townsend and Dan Futterman. Gianluigi Braschi
Gianluigi Braschi (2 July 1963 – 23 October 2008) was an Italian film producer. He was born in Cesena, Italy on 2 July 1963. He was the brother of actress Nicoletta Braschi, who married Roberto Benigni so he worked frequently with him in comedy films. He began working as a production assistant on ''Johnny Stecchino'' (1991). In 1994 he formed Melampo Cinematographic production house along his sister and brother-in-law. He continued to work with Benigni in '' Il mostro'' (1994), ''Pinocchio'' (2002) and ''The Tiger and the Snow'' (2005). He co-produced the hugely successful film ''Life Is Beautiful'' (1997) with Elda Ferri, for which they both received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.
