Ray Austin (director)
Raymond Austin is an English television and film director, television writer and producer, and former stunt performer and actor who has worked in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Career Austin started his career as a stunt performer on such films as ''North by Northwest'' (1959) and ''Spartacus'' (1960). From 1965 to 1967 he served as stunt coordinator on 50 episodes of '' The Avengers''. For ''The Champions'' he initially became involved as a second unit director, subsequently rising to the position of full director. His work as a TV director includes episodes of '' The Avengers'' (1968), ''Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)'' (1969–70), '' Space: 1999'' (1975–76), '' The New Avengers'' (1976–77), and '' V'' (1984). Stella Tanner (1 January 1925 – 26 March 2012) was an English radio and television actress. Tanner was born in 1925 and studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). She left her focus on dramatic acting to form the Tanner Sisters with her sister, Frances Tanner. Together, the Tanner Sisters made hundreds of appearances on British radio and television during the 1950s, even performing alongside Buddy Holly in March 1958. The Tanner Sisters often performed with the Hedley Ward Trio, first appearing with them on the ''Educating Archie'' radio show from 1950 to 1952. Tanner pursued a career in television comedy after she and Frances ended the Tanner Sisters act after ten years. Robert James Brown (23 July 192111 November 2003) was an English actor, best known for his portrayal of M in the James Bond films from 1983 to 1989, succeeding Bernard Lee, who died in 1981.
