''24'' is an American action drama television series created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran for Fox. The series stars Kiefer Sutherland as counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer. Each season covers 24 consecutive hours in Bauer's life using the real time method of narration. Multiple interrelated plots are featured in each episode, which often include Bauer's contacts in perilous crisis. The show premiered on November 6, 2001, and spanned 204 episodes over nine seasons, with the series finale broadcast on July 14, 2014. ''24'' is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language science fiction action drama film written and directed by Vikram Kumar. Based on the concept of time travel, the film stars actor Suriya in a triple role alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen. The film's development dates back to 2009, at which time it was to star Vikram and Ileana D'Cruz. However, in February 2010, the project was dropped due to the difference in opinions between the director, producer, and actor, facing rejection of the refined script. In August 2014, Suriya agreed to produce and act in the film, with principal photography commencing in Mumbai in April 2015, continuing in Nasik, Goregaon and Pune. ''24'' is an Indian Hindi-language action thriller television series which aired on Colors TV, based on the American series of the same name. It aired from 4 October 2013 through 21 December 2013. It was written by Rensil D'Silva, Bhavani Iyer, directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Ramesh Deo Productions. Season 2 aired from 23 July 2016 and completed its run on 9 October 2016. The Hindi version of ''24'' is the first adaptation of the show; the India rights were acquired from Fox and ''24'' producer Howard Gordon by the production company of Anil Kapoor, who also plays the lead role in the adaptation. In November 2011, Kapoor's production house signed a 100 crore ($20 million at the time) deal to adapt the series. The show is set in Mumbai with the main set of the Anti-Terrorist Unit (ATU) being a replica of the one in the original series. ''24'' is the soundtrack album, composed by A. R. Rahman with song lyrics by Vairamuthu and Madhan Karky, to the 2016 Tamil film of the same name, produced by Suriya and directed by Vikram Kumar. The film stars Suriya, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in lead roles. The album features six tracks, and was released on 9 April 2016 by Eros Music. Background In November 2014, A. R. Rahman was announced as the film soundtrack and score composer. Rahman had a six-hour script narration session with Suriya and Vikram Kumar before signing the project. Recording of the track "Punnagaye" written by lyricist Vairamuthu was completed by February 2015. In an interview with ''The Hindu'', Suriya told that recording of one more track was completed by September 2015. A remix version featuring Lil Baby was released on August 14, 2020.
