The 1999–00 season was Swansea City A.F.C.'s 80th season in the English football league system, in this season Swansea finished 1st in the 3rd division with a total of 85 points from 46 games. It was also memorable for the fastest red card for a player in Swansea's history as Walter Boyd was red carded after coming on as a substitute in the second half against Darlington at Vetch Field and was sent off before play had restarted from the same free kick that allowed him to be substituted on in the first place. Darlington is a market town in the Borough of Darlington, County Durham, England. The River Skerne flows through the town; it is a tributary of the River Tees. Nick Cusack
Nicholas John Cusack (born 24 December 1965 in Maltby, West Riding of Yorkshire) is an English former footballer and, briefly, player-manager. He was for a time chairman of the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA), and is now an Assistant Chief Executive. Football career In October 1997 Cusack joined Swansea City from Fulham for a fee of £50,000. After a period as caretaker manager, he was appointed player-coach in April 2002, but after just 17 games in charge he was replaced by Brian Flynn; he turned down an offer to remain on the coaching staff, and left in September 2002 with the club at the bottom of the Football League. Ryan Casey (born 3 January 1979) is a former professional footballer who played as left-back. Ryan was appointed as the FAI Development Officer for Sligo in July 2007. Richard Dean Appleby (born 18 September 1975) is an English former professional footballer who played in either midfield or as a forward.
