The 1999 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships took place between June 24–27 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The competition acted as a way of selecting the United States team for the 1999 World Championships in Athletics in Seville, Spain August 20–29 later that year. Khadevis Robinson
Khadevis Robinson (born July 19, 1976 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American retired middle-distance runner and currently coaches both the men's and women's cross country teams along with being an assistant track coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Robinson specialized in the 800 metres with his personal best time being 1:43.68 minutes, which he achieved in August 2006 in Rieti. He is a four-time US champion, both outdoors and indoors. He has competed at seven consecutive editions of the World Championships in Athletics, from 1999 to 2011. Abdihakem "Abdi" Abdirahman ( so, Cabdihakiim Cabdiraxmaan, ar, عبد الحكيم عبد الرحمن; born January 1, 1977) is an American long-distance runner. He is a five-time Olympian competing for the United States in the 10,000 meters and the marathon. Running career Born in Mogadishu, Somalia, Abdirahman graduated from Tucson High School in 1995 and attended Pima Community College before transferring to the University of Arizona for his junior and senior years. Alan Culpepper
Alan Lawrence Culpepper (born September 15, 1972) is an American distance runner and two time United States Olympian (2000 & 2004). Along with competing on four World Championship teams, his accomplishments include finishing fourth in the Boston Marathon in 2005, winning the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon and finishing 12th at the 2004 Olympic marathon in Athens. His 2:09:41 at the 2002 Chicago Marathon tied him with Alberto Salazar for the fastest ever debut marathon by an American, and remains his fastest marathon. Daniel J. Browne (born June 24, 1975) is an American distance runner. He has won numerous major American road race championships and was a member of the 2004 Olympic team in the 10 km and marathon. Education Brown attended West Linn High School, a suburb of Portland, Oregon, graduating in 1993. Robert Owen Kennedy Jr. (born August 18, 1970 in Bloomington, Indiana) is an American distance runner. Now retired, In 1996 he was ranked 4th in the world at the 5000 meters. He once held the American record in the 3000 meters (7:30.84), 2 miles (8:11.59) and the 5000 meters (12:58.21). He was the first ever non-African to run the 5000 meters in less than thirteen minutes, and he is still one of only seven non-Africans to do so. As a high schooler running for Lafayette of Williamsburg, Virginia, he won National Scholastic indoor and outdoor championships for the mile and 800 meter run.
