The 1999 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by the ''Associated Press'' (AP) and the conference coaches for the 1999 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Alabama Crimson Tide won the conference, beating the Florida Gators 34 to 7 in the SEC Championship game. Alabama running back Shaun Alexander was unanimously voted the coaches SEC Player of the Year and was selected as the AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. John Abraham (American Football)
John Antonio Abraham (born May 6, 1978) is a former American football defensive end and outside linebacker who played 15 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at South Carolina, and was drafted by the New York Jets in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft. Abraham also played for the Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals. Raynoch Joseph Thompson (born November 21, 1977) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round (45th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft out of the University of Tennessee. Kindal Jerome Moorehead (born October 14, 1978) is an American football coach and former defensive tackle. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He was a first-team All SEC college football at Alabama. James Patrick Whalen Jr. (born December 11, 1977) is a former football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys.
