World Team Squash Championships
The WSF World Team Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation (WSF) and played between teams representing different nations. Countries enter teams of three or four players to represent them in the championships. In each round of the competition, teams face each other in a best-of-three singles matches contest. The competition is held once every two years, with the venue changing each time. Normally the men's and women's events are held in different years in two locations. Louisa Hall (squash Player)
Louisa Warren Hall (born June 24, 1982) is an American novelist and poet. She has a Ph.D in literature from University of Texas at Austin, where she has taught literature and creative writing. Education and early life Hall grew up outside Philadelphia in the suburb of Haverford. She attended Episcopal Academy, where she played squash. She was also involved in the community service program, the choir, and played the violin. Hall attended Harvard College, and graduated in 2004, earning a BA in English. Her master's thesis concerned the poetry of Thomas Hardy. Hall is one of several members of the Harvard women's squash team to have later gone on to write professionally. Others include Galt Niederhoffer and Ivy Pochoda. She completed her PhD in English in 2013, at the University of Texas, where she subsequently taught. Vanessa Atkinson
Vanessa Louise Atkinson (born 10 March 1976 in Newcastle, England) is a former professional squash player from the Netherlands, who won the World Open in 2004 and reached the World No. 1 ranking in December 2005. Atkinson was born in England, but her family moved to the Netherlands when she was still a child. She began playing squash as a youngster in Dordrecht. She now resides in Harrogate, Yorkshire, with her partner James Willstrop, himself a professional squash player. Atkinson's biggest win came in 2004 when she won the World Open title in Kuala Lumpur by defeating fellow compatriote Natalie Grinham (at that time still representing Australia) with a score of 9–1, 9–1, 9–5 in the final. Atkinson also has won major tournaments in Qatar, New York, Monte Carlo, Malaysia and Ireland. Atkinson retired from professional play in May 2011. Annelize Naudé
Annelize Naudé (born 1 January 1977) is a Dutch professional squash player. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 13 in January 2006, and has won five WISPA tour titles as well as having been the runner-up nine times since 1996. Professional career Naudé's international squash career began in 1996; her world ranking after her first year was No. 53. She climbed up the rankings to No. 36 two years later, but her rankings then fell to a career low of No. 86 in May 2000. Her ranking rose again to No. 25 in late 2001, and she reached No. 20 a year later. She achieved her career best ranking of No. 13 four years later, in January 2006. Naudé reached her first final in an international tournament in 1999 in the Danish Open, but she was subsequently defeated by Pamela Nimmo.
