1998 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming And Diving Championships
The 1998 NCAA Women's Division I Swimming and Diving Championships were contested at the 17th annual NCAA-sanctioned swim meet to determine the team and individual national champions of Division I women's collegiate swimming and diving in the United States. This year's events were hosted at the University Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Stanford topped the team standings, finishing 44 points ahead of Arizona. It was the Cardinal's record eighth national title and their sixth in seven seasons. SMU Mustangs Swimming And Diving
The SMU Mustangs are the athletic teams that represent Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas, United States. The Mustangs were founded in 1911 and joined the Southwest Conference, competing against Baylor, Rice, Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Oklahoma A&M (which later became Oklahoma State). The football team has participated in various Bowl Games, from the Dixie Classic in 1924 to the Hawaii Bowl in 2012. Football alumni include Heisman winner Doak Walker, All-American Eric Dickerson, and two-time Super Bowl winner Forrest Gregg.
