1997 Women's Hockey World Cup Qualifier
The 1997 Women's Intercontinental Cup was a qualifier for the 1998 Women's Hockey World Cup and was held in the ''Magamba Stadium'' in Harare, Zimbabwe, from Friday 1 August to Tuesday 12 August 1997. Twelve nations took part, divided into two groups of six in the preliminary round. The top six teams joined Argentina, Olympic champions Australia, Germany, South Korea, the United States and hosts the Netherlands. Candy Ann Thomson (born March 8, 1967, in North Vancouver, British Columbia) is a former field hockey player from Canada, who earned a total number of thirty international caps for the Women's Senior National Team during her career in the early 1990s. Pritam Thakran
Pritam Chakraborty (born 14 June 1971), also known mononymously as Pritam, is an Indian composer, instrumentalist, guitarist, and singer. Nidhi Khullar
In the context of Hindu scriptures, "Nidhi" is a treasure, constituted of nine treasures (''nawanidhi'') belonging to Kubera (also spelt as Kuvera), the god of wealth. Sunita Dalal
Sunīta was a highly accomplished disciple of the Buddha. He was born in a family of untouchables whose job was of sweeping around the temple area.
