1997 Norwegian Football Cup Final
The 1997 Norwegian Football Cup Final was the final match of the 1997 Norwegian Football Cup, the 92nd season of the Norwegian Football Cup, the premier Norwegian Association football, football cup competition organized by the Football Association of Norway (NFF). The match was played on 26 October 1997 at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, and was contested between the First Division side Vålerenga Fotball, Vålerenga and the Tippeligaen side Strømsgodset Toppfotball, Strømsgodset. Thomas Berntsen
Thomas Edvin Berntsen (born 31 July 1970) is a Norwegian football manager, sporting director and former football defender. As a player, Berntsen is most notable for his time at Lillestrøm and Vålerenga in Tippeligaen and the Austrian club Bregenz. After his retirement he has been head coach of Lørenskog, Kongsvinger and Strømmen. Rune Hagen (born 20 July 1975) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a left midfielder. He had 3 appearances for the Norwegian U-23 national team in 1998. Vegard Hansen (born 8 August 1969) is a Norwegian football coach and former player who coaches 1. divisjon club Kongsvinger. During his time at Mjøndalen, the club was promoted to the 1. divisjon in 2008 and reached the play-offs for promotion to the Eliteserien in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Glenn Arne Hansen
Glenn Arne Hansen (born 20 September 1972) is a retired Norwegian football goalkeeper. After half a year on Langhus's senior team in 1989, he joined the region's prime team Drøbak-Frogn in 1990. He played the 1992 season in Ski, then returned to Drøbak-Frogn. In March 1996 Hansen was loaned out to Bradford City, trying his luck in reserve matches. However, in late May 1996 the Norwegian top-flight team Strømsgodset was bereft of goalkeepers, and Hansen agreed on a loan to them. Vidar Davidsen (born 4 January 1958) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. Davidsen played 46 international matches for Norway and scored 5 goals. Viggo Strømme (born 2 August 1967) is a retired Norwegian football defender and later manager. He started his career in FK Donn in the mid-1980s and transferred to city rivals IK Start in 1991. Bjørn Viljugrein (born 24 November 1969) is a retired Norwegian football midfielder. He represented the Norway national team on one occasion in 1997.
