1994 WAFL Season
The 1994 WAFL season was the 110th season of the West Australian Football League in its various incarnations. It was the final season before, to stem fears of dominance by the Eagles of the AFL, a second Western Australian team, the Fremantle Dockers was added to the national competition. Woodville-West Torrens Football Club
Woodville-West Torrens Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). It was formed in 1990 from an amalgamation of the neighbouring Woodville and West Torrens football clubs and played its inaugural game in 1991. Since 1993, the Eagles have played most of their home games at Woodville's home ground of Woodville Oval, having previously used Football Park. Greg Walker (footballer)
Gregory William Walker (born 8 July 1967 in Midland, Western Australia, Midland, Western Australia) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and Woodville-West Torrens Football Club, Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL, South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Craig 'Jock' Treleven (born 14 June 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Australian Football League (AFL). Tony Campbell (footballer)
Anthony 'Tony' Campbell (born 13 August 1967) is a former professional Australian rules footballer and businessman. AFL career Campbell was recruited to the Melbourne Football Club from Camberwell Grammar School. Early in his career, the solidly built player was tried on the full-forward line wearing the number 40 and later 4 guernseys for Melbourne. Despite kicking some long goals, his questionable accuracy led to him being used instead at fullback where he settled in his career, becoming an uncompromising long and direct kicking defender. During a time of little success he requested a pre-draft trade at the end of 1991 that would find him at Footscray. Campbell became a cult hero for many Bulldogs fans, known for wearing a long sleeved jumper and gloves. Jason Heatley (born 21 February 1972) is a former Australian rules football full-forward, who played for and during the 1990s. Arena Joondalup, known as HBF Arena under a commercial naming rights arrangement, is a multi-purpose sports complex in Joondalup, Western Australia, located on 35 ha of parkland approximately 25 km north of Perth. Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACL reconstruction) is a surgical tissue graft replacement of the anterior cruciate ligament, located in the knee, to restore its function after an injury. The torn ligament can either be removed from the knee (most common), or preserved (where the graft is passed inside the preserved ruptured native ligament) before reconstruction through an arthroscopic procedure. Jon Dorotich
Jonathan Michael Dorotich (born 27 April 1962) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) and for the South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Known as "Doro" he moved to Carlton in 1986 where he played in the grand final in his first season against Hawthorn. In the following years grand final, he played at full-forward in the rematch with Hawthorn where Carlton won the flag. He played in 132 games for Carlton before returning to Western Australia where he co-captained South Fremantle in their 1997 WAFL premiership win. Fremantle Oval, also known by naming rights sponsorship as Fremantle Community Bank Oval, is a stadium in the centre of Fremantle, Western Australia, located on Parry Street. It currently has a capacity of 17,500 with terracing and a members area holding 750, though capacity was capped at 10,000 for Fremantle AFLW games. Fremantle Oval was originally used for cricket, but in 1895 hosted its first game of Australian rules football and Australian Football quickly became the main attraction leading to the development of the ground.
