The 1994 Tour du Haut Var was the 26th edition of the Tour du Haut Var cycle race and was held on 19 February 1994. The race started in Fréjus and finished in Draguignan. The race was won by Laurent Brochard. Laurent Brochard
Laurent Brochard (born 26 March 1968 in Le Mans, France) is a retired professional road racing cyclist from France. In 1997 he won a stage of the Tour de France and became world road champion in San Sebastián, Spain. Brochard was a runner and started cycling competitively at 19. He started with Castorama and became part of Festina cycling team. His role in Festina was ''super-domestique'', supporting stars such as Richard Virenque but able to ride competitively when given the chance. He was implicated in the Festina scandal in the 1998 Tour de France. After serving his suspension, Brochard joined Ag2r Prévoyance as leader and had successes in races such as Critérium International and Etoile de Béssèges. He then moved to Bouygues Télécom. He is a fan of Belgian comic character Marsupilami, often wearing Marsupilami logo and clothing at races. Christophe Manin
Christophe Manin (born 12 July 1966 in Saint-Marcellin, Isère) is a French former professional racing cyclist. He rode in two editions of the Tour de France, one edition of the Vuelta a España and two editions of the Giro d'Italia. Among his most notable results were a stage win in the 1988 edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré and a fifth place overall in the 1992 Paris–Nice. In June 2017 Manin was announced as the national technical director for the French Cycling Federation. Marc Madiot (born 16 April 1959) is a French former professional road racing cyclist and double winner of Paris–Roubaix. He also competed in the individual road race event at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Retired from racing in 1994, he is now best known as the directeur sportif of , a UCI WorldTeam. Gilles Delion (born 5 August 1966) is a French former road bicycle racer. His greatest achievements include winning the Giro di Lombardia in 1990 and the young rider classification in the 1990 Tour de France. Early in his career, Delion was seen as a great promise, but Delion ended his career in 1996, saying that at that point doping was widespread in the cycling peloton, and that all French teams were involved. Fréjus
Fréjus (; ) is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. In 2019, it had a population of 54,458.
