1994 Football League Trophy Final
The 1994 Autoglass Trophy Final was the 11th final of the domestic football cup competition for teams from Second Division and Third Division for the Football League Trophy. The Final was played at Wembley Stadium, London on 24 April 1994. The match was contested by Huddersfield Town and Swansea City. Swansea City won the match 3–1 on penalties after drawing 1–1 in normal and extra time. The match was Swansea City's first ever match at Wembley. 1993–94 Football League Trophy
The 1993–94 Football League Trophy, known as the 1993–94 Autoglass Trophy, was the ninth staging of the Football League Trophy, a knock-out competition for English football clubs in the Second Division and the Third Division. The winners were Swansea City and the runners-up were Huddersfield Town. The competition began on 27 September 1993 and ended with the final on 24 April 1994 at Wembley Stadium. In the first round, there were two sections split into seven groups: North and South. In the following rounds each section gradually eliminates teams in knock-out fashion until each has a winning finalist. Simon Baldry
Simon Jonathon Baldry (born 12 February 1976) is an English retired professional footballer who played in the Football League for Huddersfield Town, Bury and Notts County. Career Huddersfield Town Simon Baldry was a youth player who came through the Huddersfield Town Centre of Excellence system. Darren John Bullock (born 12 February 1969) is an English former professional footballer who played for several clubs including Huddersfield Town, Swindon Town, and Bury. Bullock started his playing career at non-league Malvern Town, before moving to Nuneaton Borough. Andy Booth
Andrew David Booth (born 6 December 1973) is a retired professional footballer. Whilst at Huddersfield he announced his retirement on 22 April 2009, but remains at the club as an ambassador, he also played for Sheffield Wednesday and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and represented his country with the England U21s. Christopher Anthony Billy is a retired footballer who played as a midfielder. He played in the Football League for Huddersfield Town, Plymouth Argyle, Notts County, Bury and Carlisle United. He also played for Halifax Town, Farsley Celtic and Ossett Town. Career Billy began his career with Huddersfield Town in 1991. Stephen Stuart Francis (born 29 May 1964) is an English former professional footballer, born in Billericay, Essex, who made nearly 500 appearances in the Football League playing as a goalkeeper for Chelsea, Reading, Huddersfield Town and Northampton Town. Stephen David James Torpey (born 8 December 1970) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. Playing career Born in Islington, London, Torpey had played for a number of clubs, before signing for Scunthorpe United from Bristol City in February 2000. He was Scunthorpe's record transfer signing, costing £175,000. Torpey broke the ten goal barrier in each of his first five seasons at Scunthorpe and represented the club over 250 times. Patrick Kwame Ampadu (born 20 December 1970) is an Irish former footballer who played as a midfielder. John Michael Cornforth (born 7 October 1967) is a former Wales international football player and is now a coach. Originally from Whitley Bay in the north-east of England, Cornforth and his family have been settled in Devon for some time.
