1994 Democratic Party (HK) Leadership Election
The Democratic Party leadership election was held on 2 October 1994 for the 30-member 1st Central Committee of the new Democratic Party in Hong Kong, including chairman and two vice-chairman posts. It was held at the first party congress on the establishment day of the Democratic Party. Well-known popular democrat activist, Chairman of the United Democrats of Hong Kong Martin Lee became the first Chairman, while Anthony Cheung, the Chairman of the Meeting Point, and Yeung Sum became the two Vice-Chairmen. Fred Li Wah-ming (Chinese: 李華明; born 25 April 1955, Hong Kong) is a former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong representing the constituency of Kowloon East. Sin Chung-kai (; born 15 June 1960) is a former member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council. He was the chairman and a member of Kwai Tsing District Council for the Wah Lai constituency. Mak Hoi-wah (; born 9 April 1951) is a Hong Kong politician, social worker and social activist. He was the member of the Wong Tai Sin District Board and former vice-chairman of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements in China. Szeto Wah
Szeto Wah (; 28 February 1931 – 2 January 2011) was a prominent Hong Kong democracy activist and politician. He was the founding chairman of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, the Hong Kong Professional Teachers' Union and former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1985 to 1997 and from 1997 to 2004.
