The 1993 Norwegian Football Cup was the 88th edition of the Norwegian Football Cup. The 1993 Norwegian Football Cup was won by Bodø/Glimt after they defeated Strømsgodset in the final on 24 October 1993. Rosenborg BK
Rosenborg Ballklub, commonly referred to simply as Rosenborg () or RBK, is a Norwegian professional football club from Trondheim that plays in Eliteserien. The club has won a record 26 league titles, a shared record 12 Norwegian Football Cup titles and have played more UEFA matches than any other Norwegian team. RBK play their home games at the all-seater Lerkendal Stadion which has a capacity of 21,421. The club was founded as Odd in 1917 but were not allowed to play amateur league matches until 1928, when they took the present name. They reached the League of Norway in 1937–38, but were relegated to lower divisions during the 1940s. The club moved to Lerkendal in 1957 and their first title was the 1960 Cup, resulting in their first participation in a UEFA tournament. Aasmund Bjørkan
Aasmund Bjørkan (born 3 July 1973) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who was appointed manager at Bodø/Glimt after the 2015 season. He had been the assistant of former manager Jan Halvor Halvorsen since 2013. He has previously been head coach of the First Division sides Alta and Ranheim. As a player, he played as a winger for Bodø/Glimt and Vålerenga, and won the Norwegian Cup in 1993 and 2002. Playing career Bjørkan made his debut for Bodø/Glimt in 1991, and helped win promotion ahead of the 1993 season. In his first Norwegian top division season in 1993 he played all 22 league games. He remained a steadfast first-team player at Bodø/Glimt until changing club to Vålerenga in the middle of the 2000 season. After some meagre seasons he returned to Bodø/Glimt in August 2002. SK Haugar
Sportsklubben Haugar is an association football club from Haugesund, Norway, established in 1939. Its top women's team plays in the Second Division and the top men's team plays in the Fifth Division. The men's team has played two Norwegian Football Cup Finals, losing 0–7 against Fredrikstad in 1961 and 2–1 against Viking in 1979. This qualified the team for the 1980–81 European Cup Winners' Cup: in the first round, Haugar drew Sion 1–1 away and then beat them 2–0 at home. In the second round, Haugar tied Newport County 0–0 at home, but lost 0–6 away. The team played their last season in the top division in 1981. In 1993, it merged its elite teams with Djerv 1919 to create FK Haugesund. Haugar continued to compete in lower divisions. Ivar Morten Normark
Ivar Morten Normark (born 27 May 1963, in Narvik) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. His most recent head coaching job was at FK Mjølner in the 2. divisjon. Normark resigned from this position at the end of the 2013 season. Normark led Aalesund to both promotion to, and relegation from the Norwegian Premier League twice. After the last relegation in 2005, Normark was fired from his job, but was quickly snapped up by Tromsø. His stay in Tromsø was not very successful, and on 26 July 2006, he was sacked after only seven months in the manager's chair. In October 2006 he agreed to take over the Sápmi national football team. As an active player, Normark had his best years at Bodø/Glimt, where he won the Norwegian Cup and silver medals in Tippeligaen in 1993. He also played in the top division for Brann, and for his hometown side Mjølner. He also had a short stay in French football where he played for Stade Français. Thor Mikalsen (born 12 July 1973) is a retired Norwegian football midfielder. He played second-tier football for Bodø/Glimt in 1989, helped win promotion and the 1993 Norwegian Football Cup Final, remaining in Bodø/Glimt throughout 2000.
