1993 New Zealand Rugby League Season
The 1993 New Zealand rugby league season was the 86th season of rugby league that had been played in New Zealand. The main feature of the year was the National Provincial Championship competition that was run by the New Zealand Rugby League. Canterbury won the Championship by defeating Auckland 36–12 in the Final. International competitions The New Zealand national rugby league team drew 14-all with the Kangaroos at Mt Smart Stadium. This was the first ever draw between the two countries. They then lost 8–16 at the Palmerston North Showgrounds before finishing the test series by going down 4–16 in Brisbane. 1992 New Zealand Rugby League Season
The 1992 New Zealand rugby league season was the 85th season of rugby league that had been played in New Zealand. The main feature of the year was the National Provincial Competition that was won by Auckland. International competitions The New Zealand national rugby league team defeated the touring Papua New Guinea side 66-10 before drawing a Test series against the Great Britain Lions 1-all. They first defeated Great Britain 15–14 in Palmerston North before losing the second Test 16–19 at Carlaw Park. Se'e Solomona
Maseese (Se'e) David Solomona (born 9 March 1965) is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer who represented both New Zealand and Western Samoa. Background Solomona was born in New Zealand. Playing career Solomona started his career with the Richmond Bulldogs, and the Glenora Bears, playing 21 games for Auckland between 1988 and 1993. Solomona spent 1989 with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs as part of the New Zealand Rugby League's "Rookie Scheme". Solomona played the majority of his career in England. He played for Oldham from 1992 to 1994. before returning home to play for the Auckland Warriors in their début season in the Australian Rugby League competition. Richard Bolton (rugby League)
Richard Keith Bolton (born 4 June 1943) is a New Zealand former rugby league footballer, manager, and coach who represented New Zealand. Playing career Bolton was an Auckland representative and played in one Test match for the New Zealand national rugby league team, the second Test against Australia in 1972. He captained the New Zealand Māori side which won the 1975 Pacific Cup. Coaching career After retirement Bolton turned to coaching. Howie Tamati
Howard Kevin Tamati (born 3 January 1953), generally known as Howie Tamati, is a New Zealand politician and former professional rugby league footballer and coach who played for New Zealand. He is the cousin of fellow international Kevin Tamati. Early life and family Tamati was born in Waitara on 3 January 1953, the son of Emse and Kingi Tamati. Of Māori descent, he affiliates to the Te Āti Awa, Ngāti Mutunga and Ngāi Tahu iwi. He was educated at Waitara High School. Tamati is the cousin of Kevin Tamati. Howie Tamati and Joanne Smith had children. He is married to Aroaro and had four children. Gavin Hill
Gavin Lyle Hill (born 11 December 1965) is a New Zealand former rugby union and rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and coached rugby union the 2000s. He resided in Wellington for 10-years before moving back to Auckland in 2008 to take a coaching position in the Air New Zealand Cup.
