The 1992 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the 14th edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, the annual Portuguese football season-opening match contested by the winners of the previous season's top league and cup competitions (or cup runner-up in case the league- and cup-winning club is the same). The 1992 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was contested over two legs, and opposed Boavista and Porto of the Primeira Liga. Porto qualified for the SuperCup by winning the 1991–92 Primeira Divisão, whilst Boavista qualified for the Supertaça by winning the 1991–92 Taça de Portugal. Supertaça Cândido De Oliveira
The Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (; English: Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup, or simply Portuguese Super Cup) is an annual Portuguese football match played since 1979 between the winners of the Portuguese League (Primeira Liga) and Portuguese Cup (Taça de Portugal). When a team wins both competitions (thus achieving the double (''dobradinha'')), it plays again against the Cup runners-up. The Supertaça has been organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since 1981 and is usually played in August, right before the start of the league season. Vítor Sérgio dos Santos Valente (born 13 March 1965) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career After beginning in the lower leagues, Lisbon-born Valente made his Primeira Liga debut in 1986–87 while at the service of C.S. Marítimo, appearing in 14 league games for a final 13th position. He spent three of the following four seasons also in the top division, in representation of Académica de Coimbra and C.F. União. Domingos José Paciência Oliveira, known simply as Domingos as a player (; born 2 January 1969), is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a striker, currently a manager. Ion Timofte (born 16 December 1967) is a Romanian retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He spent the vast majority of his career in Portugal, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 215 matches and 61 goals over nine seasons with Porto and Boavista and winning seven major titles both clubs combined.
