Longchamp Racecourse
The Longchamp Racecourse (french: Hippodrome de Longchamp) is a 57 hectare horse-racing facility located on the Route des Tribunes at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, France. It is used for flat racing and is noted for its variety of interlaced tracks and a famous hill that provides a real challenge to competing thoroughbreds. Jim Bolger (racehorse Trainer)
James S. Bolger (born 25 December 1941) is a thoroughbred racehorse trainer and breeder based in Coolcullen in County Kilkenny. For many years, he has been recognised as one of the racing greats in Ireland. Aidan O'Brien, Tony McCoy and Paul Carberry were all apprenticed to him before gaining professional recognition in their own right. During the 2006 flat season, Bolger trained Teofilo to go unbeaten at the age of two. This five-race unbeaten streak included victories in the Group 1 National Stakes and Dewhurst Stakes. Talk of an English Triple Crown bid was imminent, but Teofilo suffered a career-ending injury in the lead up to the 2,000 Guineas and never saw a racecourse again. John Harry Martin Gosden (born 30 March 1951) is a British racehorse trainer. He has trained over 3,000 winners worldwide, including winners of the Breeders' Cup Classic, the Derby, the Arc, the King George, the Eclipse, and over 600 winners in the United States. Gosden has trained the winners of over 100 Group 1 races in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Steve Cauthen (born May 1, 1960) is a retired American jockey. In 1977 he became the first jockey to win over $6 million in a year working with agent Lenny Goodman, and in 1978 he became the youngest jockey to win the U. S. Triple Crown. Mashaallah (horse)
Mashaallah was an American-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred race horse. He is notable for his performances in 1992 when he won Group One races in Italy, Germany and Ireland. Background Mashaallah was bred in Kentucky by William Stamps Farish III. He was sired by the Triple Crown winner Nijinsky out of the Round Table mare Homespun. He was thus a full brother of the Oak Leaf Stakes winner Folk Art and the minor stakes winner Sportin' Life. He is inbred 4x4 to Nearco, meaning that this stallion appears twice in the fourth generation of Mashaallah's pedigree (see below). John Hammond (racehorse Trainer)
John E. Hammond (born June 27, 1960 in Bromley, Kent, England) is retired a Thoroughbred horse trainer in France. Based in Chantilly, Oise throughout his training career, which began in 1987, Hammond trained numerous Group One winners including Montjeu and Suave Dancer, both of whom won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, France's most prestigious horse race. Hammond's horses also won important races in Ireland, Great Britain and the United States. Hammond also trained useful European and latterly American-based sprinter, Nuclear Debate. Cash Asmussen (born March 15, 1962 in Agar, South Dakota) is an American thoroughbred horse racing jockey. Born Brian Keith Asmussen, in 1977 he legally changed his name to "Cash". From a Texas horse racing family, his parents, Keith and Marilyn "Sis" Asmussen, operate a ranch in Laredo in Webb County, Texas. His brother, Steve Asmussen, is a successful horse trainer in American racing. Dominique Boeuf (born 6 June 1968 at Maisons-Laffitte, France) is a jockey in Thoroughbred flat racing. He began his career while still a teen and won his first race on 15 September 1984. Patrick James John Eddery (18 March 1952 – 10 November 2015) was an Irish flat racing jockey and trainer. He rode three winners of the Derby and was Champion Jockey on eleven occasions. He rode the winners of 4,632 British flat races, a figure exceeded only by Sir Gordon Richards. Jolypha (20 April 1989 – 26 March 2005) was a French Thoroughbred racehorse and Horse breeding#terminology, broodmare. A full-sister to the European champion Dancing Brave, she proved herself one of the best three-year-old fillies in the world in 1992, winning the Prix de Diane and Prix Vermeille on turf in Europe before running third on dirt against male opposition in the Breeders' Cup Classic. She was permanently transferred to the United States in the following year but won only one minor race in four attempts. She was then retired to become a broodmare in Kentucky, where her record as a producer of winners was moderate. She died in 2005 at the age of sixteen. Gérald Mossé
Gérald Mossé (born 3 January 1967 in France) is a jockey in thoroughbred horse racing. He began riding professionally in April 1983 and his success during his apprenticeship under Patrick-Louis Biancone led to an offer to ride for renowned trainer François Boutin and his stable of horses belonging to Jean-Luc Lagardère. Mossé went on to become one of his country's top jockeys, winning the 1990 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. In 1991, he rode Arazi to five straight wins in France then spent 1992 and part of 1993 racing in Hong Kong.
