The 1992 Labatt Brier was held from March 8 to 15 at the Agridome in Regina, Saskatchewan. Vic Peters of Manitoba defeated Russ Howard of Ontario in the final in an extra end to win his first and only Brier of his career. Kevin Park
Kevin Park (born September 2, 1964 in Hythe, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Edmonton, Alberta. Career Early career Park was a two time provincial junior champion in his native Alberta, winning in 1983 and 1984. Park played third for Kevin Martin from 1990 to 1995. During this time, he won the Brier in 1991 and a silver medal at the World Curling Championships. He also played for Canada at the 1992 Winter Olympics where curling was a demonstration sport - the team finished fourth. Park would also play in the 1992 and 1995 Briers with Martin. 1995-2008 After playing for Martin, Park formed his own team, which had some success on the World Curling Tour, and involved trips to the 1997 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, and 2001 Olympic Trials. Mike Kennedy (curler)
Michael C. Kennedy (born August 6, 1962) is a Canadian curler from Edmundston, New Brunswick. Curling career Kennedy is a former Canadian and World Senior Curling Champion. He won both the 2013 Canadian Senior Curling Championships and 2014 World Senior Curling Championships playing third for the Wayne Tallon rink. Kennedy has also won two provincial seniors titles, winning with Tallon in 2013 and playing third for Mark Armstrong in 2014. As a junior curler, Kennedy won a provincial championship playing third for the Ron Healey rink in 1980. Kennedy has been one of the perennial top skips in New Brunswick since the 1990s. Kennedy won his first provincial men's championship in 1992, earning the right to represent New Brunswick at the 1992 Labatt Brier. Edmundston is a city in Madawaska County, New Brunswick, Canada. On 1 January 2023, Edmundston will expanded, annexing the village of Rivière-Verte and parts of the local service districts of the parish of Saint-Jacques and the parish of Saint-Joseph. History During the early colonial period, the area was a camping and meeting place of the Maliseet (Wolastoqiyik) Nation during seasonal migrations. From the mid to late eighteenth century, one of the largest Maliseet villages had been established at Madawaska and had become a refuge site for other Wabanaki peoples. The Maliseet village was originally located near the falls at the confluence of the Madawaska and Saint John Rivers. Jim Armstrong (curler)
James P. Armstrong (born June 30, 1950) is a former Canadian curler and wheelchair curler now living in Ontario. He was a successful able-bodied curler for much of his career until he had to stop playing because of bad knees and a car accident in 2003. Career Curling career Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Armstrong began curling at eight, and by the age of 22 he made his first Brier, playing second for British Columbia, skipped by Jack Tucker. The team finished 5–5 at that 1973 MacDonald Brier. Armstrong skipped B.C. in the following Brier, placing third with a 6–4 record. Armstrong wouldn't make another Brier for 9 years, when he played third for Bernie Sparkes at the 1983 Labatt Brier. The team finished third once again, losing to Ontario's Ed Werenich in the semi-final. The team made the 1984 Labatt Brier in Victoria, but only finished 6–5. Construction of the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, began in August 1965, and was completed in January 1966.
