1991–92 Tulane Green Wave Men's Basketball Team
The 1991–92 Tulane Green Wave men's basketball team represented Tulane University in the 1991–92 college basketball season. This was head coach Perry Clark's third season at Tulane. The Green Wave competed in the Metro Conference and played their home games at Devlin Fieldhouse. They finished the season 22–9 (8–4 in Metro play) and finished atop the conference regular season standings. Tulane lost by a point in the championship game of the Metro Conference tournament, but received an at-large bid to the 1992 NCAA tournament – the first tournament appearance in program history. The Green Wave defeated St. John's in the opening round before losing to Oklahoma State in the round of 32 – a game in which the Cowboys shot an astronomical 80% from the field. Perry Clark
Perry Clark (born December 4, 1951) is an American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at University of Miami. He previously served as head coach of Tulane University, and later at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Moody Coliseum is a 7,000-seat multi-purpose arena in University Park, Texas (an inner suburb of Dallas). The arena opened in 1956. It is home to the Southern Methodist University Mustangs basketball teams and volleyball team. It was also home to the Dallas Chaparrals and Texas Chaparrals of the American Basketball Association before they moved to San Antonio, Texas, as the San Antonio Spurs. Richmond Coliseum
Richmond Coliseum is a defunct arena located in downtown Richmond, Virginia, with a capacity of 13,500 that was most often used for various large concerts. The arena opened in 1971 and the region is looking to replace the aging facility with a larger one. Lubbock Municipal Coliseum
Lubbock Municipal Coliseum (formerly City Bank Coliseum) was an 8,344-seat multi-purpose arena in Lubbock, Texas. Although the arena was located on the campus of Texas Tech University, it was owned and operated by the City of Lubbock until 2018. The Coliseum (and adjoining Auditorium) were demolished in 2019 following the land's transfer of ownership back to Texas Tech University.
