The 1991–92 Toronto Maple Leafs season was Toronto's 75th season in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Maple Leafs missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year. Off-season Forward Wendel Clark is named team captain, following the departure of defenceman Rob Ramage to the Minnesota North Stars. Rob Ramage
George Robert Ramage (born January 11, 1959) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played 15 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, Minnesota North Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers. He also played one season in the World Hockey Association (WHA) for the Birmingham Bulls. He was a two-time Stanley Cup winner in the NHL. Ramage was born in Byron, Ontario, but grew up in London, Ontario. Playing career Rob Ramage spent his junior career with the London Knights, playing three seasons as a defenseman, and was highly touted by many scouts. In his final season with the Knights, Ramage shared the OHL's Max Kaminsky Trophy as the league's most outstanding defenseman with his teammate Brad Marsh. Dmitri Mironov
Dmitri Olegovich Mironov (; born December 25, 1965) is a Russian former professional ice hockey defenseman. He was drafted in the eighth round, 160th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He was part of the 1998 Stanley Cup winning Detroit Red Wings. Playing career Mironov played in the Soviet Union for seven seasons before moving to the National Hockey League to play for the Maple Leafs. He debuted in Toronto in the 1991–92 season and played there for four seasons. After a brief stint with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Mironov joined the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. With the Mighty Ducks in the 1997–98 season, Mironov earned a trip to the NHL All-Star Game. Before the season was out, however, Anaheim traded him to the Detroit Red Wings for Jamie Pushor and a draft pick. He won the Stanley Cup with Detroit that season. Martin Procházka
Martin Procházka (, born March 3, 1972, in Slaný, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech former professional ice hockey player. Procházka was drafted 135th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft and played 32 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Maple Leafs and Atlanta Thrashers. In his NHL career, he scored two goals and five assists for seven points, collecting eight penalty minutes. He tallied an assist on the first goal in Atlanta Thrashers history, a 4–1 loss to the New Jersey Devils on October 2, 1999, his only point as a Thrasher. He has also had spells in Sweden's Elitserien for AIK Hockey and the Russian Super League (RSL) for Avangard Omsk and Khimik Voskresensk. Hockey Club Sokil Kyiv (; ), commonly known as Sokil Kyiv, HC Sokil, or HC Sokol Kiev, is a Ukrainian professional ice hockey team based in Kyiv. While their home arena is located in the city, the team also plays out of Brovary, still within the Kyiv region. They are a founding club of the Professional Hockey League of Ukraine, and have formerly competed in the national leagues of Belarus, Russia, and the Soviet Union. The Ontario Hockey League (OHL; ) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues which constitute the Canadian Hockey League, alongside the Western Hockey League and the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Owen Sound Platers was a Canadian junior ice hockey team based in Owen Sound, Ontario. The team played in the Ontario Hockey League from 1989 to 2000, then was sold to new owners who renamed the team the Owen Sound Attack. History In 1989 the Holody's moved the Guelph Platers to Owen Sound, Ontario, retaining the name "Platers", as the Holody family owned a local electroplating company. The team played home games in the J. D. McArthur Arena at the Bayshore Community Centre. HC Krylya Sovetov (; ''Soviet Wings'') is a professional ice hockey team based in Moscow, Russia. The team played in the top divisions of Soviet and Russian hockey. In 2008, the team was expelled from the Soviet Wings Sport Palace and a new team, MHC Krylya Sovetov was created. The Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL; , LHJMQ), formerly the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues that constitute the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).
