The president of Chile ( es, Presidente de Chile), officially known as the President of the Republic of Chile ( es, Presidente de la República de Chile), is the head of state and head of government of the Republic of Chile. The president is responsible for both the Government of Chile and state administration. Although its role and significance has changed over the history of Chile, as well as its position and relations with other actors in the national political organization, it is one of the most prominent political offices. Julieta Campusano
Julieta Campusano (31 May 1918, Coquimbo – 11 June 1991) was a Chilean politician, belonging to the Communist Party of Chile. Campusano was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. In 1944 the Chilean Federation of Women's Institution (FECHIF) was founded, with Campusano as one of its leaders. In 1947, Campusano was elected municipal councilor in Santiago de Chile. Campusano went into exile after the 1973 Chilean coup d'état, September 11, 1973 coup d'état. In the 1980s she returned to Chile, but was arrested. In May 1987, she was sentenced to banishment to Sierra Gorda, Chile, Sierra Gorda in northern Chile. She died of cancer in 1991. References

Claudio Arrau
Claudio Arrau León (; February 6, 1903June 9, 1991) was a Chilean pianist known for his interpretations of a vast repertoire spanning the baroque to 20th-century composers, especially Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt and Brahms. He is widely considered one of the greatest pianists of the twentieth century. Life Arrau was born in Chillán, Chile, the son of Carlos Arrau, an ophthalmologist who died when Claudio was only a year old, and Lucrecia León Bravo de Villalba, a piano teacher. He belonged to an old, prominent family of Southern Chile. His ancestor Lorenzo de Arrau, a Spanish engineer, was sent to Chile by King Carlos III of Spain. Through his great-grandmother, María del Carmen Daroch del Solar, Arrau was a descendant of the Campbells of Glenorchy, a Scottish noble family. Patricio Aylwin
Patricio Aylwin Azócar (; 26 November 1918 – 19 April 2016) was a Chilean politician from the Christian Democratic Party, lawyer, author, professor and former senator. He was the first president of Chile after dictator Augusto Pinochet, and his election marked the Chilean transition to democracy in 1990. Despite resistance from elements of the Chilean military and government after his election, Aylwin was staunch in his support for the Chilean National Commission for Truth and Reconciliation which exposed the systematic brutalities of the dictatorship. Early life Aylwin, the eldest of the five children of Miguel Aylwin and Laura Azócar, was born in Viña del Mar. The 1991 Copa Chile-Digeder was the 21st edition of the Chilean Cup tournament. The competition started on March 2, 1991, and concluded on November 13, 1991.
