Israel Militosyan
Israel Militosyan ( hy, Իսրայել Միլիտոսյան, born 17 August 1968) is an Armenian former weightlifter. He was awarded the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR title in 1989. Early life Born in Leninakan, Armenian SSR (now Gyumri, Armenia), a city famous for its world class weightlifters, Militosyan took up weightlifting in 1980 under the guidance of cousin Vardan Militosyan and joined the Soviet national team in 1987. Career Militosyan was one of the top weightlifters of his era. He made his Olympic debut at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. He won a silver medal in the lightweight (67.5 kg) class with a total of 337.5 kg, only 2.5 kg behind gold medalist Joachim Kunz. Despite the defeat, Militosyan set a new Olympic record in the snatch at 155 kg. Marc Huster (born 1 July 1970 in Altdöbern) is a German weightlifter and sports commentator. World Champion in Istanbul 1994, European Champion in Rijeka 1997, Riesa 1998, and Deportivo La Coruña 1999. World records in clean and jerk 1993 (210 kg) and 1996 (213.5 kg), world record in Olympic weightlifting combined 1994 (382.5 kg), European record in clean and jerk 1999 (215 kg). He ranked 7th at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, won a silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta in the 83 kg class, and another silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney in the 85 kg class. Ibragim Samadov
Ibragim Berkmanovich Samadov (''Ибрагим Беркманович Самадов'') born July 18, 1968 in Pervomayskaya, Chechenskaya Respublika, USSR is a former Olympic weightlifter. In transition at the end of the Soviet Union, he represented the Unified Team at the 1992 Olympics in the 82.5 kg division. Samadov was the gold medalist at the 1991 World Weightlifting Championships, representing the Soviet Union with his superior clean and jerk evening his total weight with teammate Oleksandr Blyshchyk. In 1992, Altymyrat Orazdurdyýew was the favorite, but was not selected for the Unified Team by coach and Russian national hero Vasily Alekseyev because Orazdurdiyev was from Turkmenistan, while Samadov was from Russia.
